Lincoln City fan view on Steve Evans.

Fan saying - Steve Evans has infected Rotherham United.
Every time I have been to that ground, the home support has been loud
& the atmosphere has been good, but Tuesday, it was horrible.
Even before the game, it was flat, their fans were silent, it was like watching
a game during covid, nice ground, nice ground steep sides for a good view,
but the football being watched was horrible.
Steve Evans when in charge at Stevenage, was limited footballers needed to
get by, at Rotherham United, a side good footballers, but good footballers
sinking down to a level that belittles their abilities.
He [ Steve Evans ] has infected them with his dark arts, taking out centre half
Adam Jackson, saying a assault on the player, Evans tactics clearly included
taking out one of our centre-half's.
Goes on to say Zac Jules should have been sent off, [ my view, correct ],
the fan goes on to say Steve Evans has sucked the life & soul out of the place,
creating frankenstein monster out of [ albeit expensive ] players.

Absolutely not defending SE at all, but the life has been draining out slowly since PW left - not a long time after their last visit, but those two and a half years have been damaging. Appreciate the views but Evans has only been a part of that shift.

It annoys me that people think we have expensive players, we spent ?0 on transfer fees in the summer. 21 or 22 players left and 16 came in, we don't even have a full squad. Now I know we will have paid signing on fees and decent wages and we still have certain players being on championship wages, but we have not been a big spender at all. All the transfer fees from sales have been used to balance the books after relegation, so the Lincoln fan and any others can get stuffed with this "expensive player crap"
The incident with their Centre-back was a clash of heads, anyone can see on the video that was not deliberate and Haks is not that type of player. perhaps if their players didn't fall down every two seconds when a gust of wind comes it might help them, and by the way collapsing as if hit by a sniper is dark arts.

ok but Tiehe was ?500k I think. There have been numerous articles and comments on sky about our summer activity that has made it look like we spent big and brought in 14 new players, without referencing the mass reduction in the squad. However the points about our championship bought players is valid

Perhaps if Lincoln fan had read my league one transfers for each club, he would have seen the Millers had not paid any transfer fees
