So it is essential for players to acknowledge all perceived injury risk factors, as well as a better understanding of how clubs coaching & medical departments perceptions match with an individual players perceptions & adjust those perceptions of all above parties to different levels of action if required into keeping a player fit.

A players ongoing monthly fitness details via a 'systematic-review' is supposed to explore a players perceptions of injury risk & prevention. Most football players agree that their risk of injury is high & that prevention strategies are important. But still, many do not act on all given help of strategies available to keeping fit.

Crazy, as its crucial to acknowledge all perceived injury risk factors, namely any limb lesser muscle strength. Any lack of honest individual physical fitness level reporting only results in poor levels of performance, medical analysis reports state.

Honest feedback is important for the monitoring of fatigue too, right down to training & condition of training ground surfaces into being able to produce consistent optimum performance thats expected & required.
Feedback is so important for injury prevention factors, such as in any team & individual warm-ups, positional workload monitoring with all strength conditioning plans being followed. Combining all this with any many mental wellness factoring analysis too.

Even Bamford admitted recently he often played for us when not fully fit which he knew was effecting him physically & mentally, which is crazy & wrong, imo !
So kinda comes back to my comments on another match thread about importance of players ability levels being reached when fully fit or indeed are they being met when playing with managed injury issues - which we as a club are guilty of past & present, as individual performance results do not lie in that respect in hindsight when putting ones body onto the line in matches.

So yeah, injury risk, prevention & recovery does have merit in all its concepts which only idiots would ignore, particularly any pro athlete who may say he is physically & mentally fit to play.
Problem is squad quality strength in suitable replacements when needed being fully primed & ready - ready as in match ready scenarios.

Not easy to slot in & perform hence the introduction of tactics comfortable for all scenario being one of many possible answers to rely on.

Just saying
So if i player says before the game i don't feel right i have back pains you play him anyway right or if he nearly breaks a leg you spray the magic fluid and all good again! We have had situations here where dr's keep giving the all clear and send them out this is one result the guy had and was send back.
MELBOURNE midfielder Christian Petracca is set for a stint on the sidelines after suffering four broken ribs and a lacerated spleen during yesterday's game against Collingwood at the MCG.

Petracca suffered the injury in a marking contest at the end of the first quarter. He returned to the field after an initial medical assessment deemed his pain was likely due to a rib injury.

After returning to play, Petracca’s pain increased at half-time and despite assessing relatively well, he was sent to hospital for further investigation as a precaution.

Scans taken at hospital revealed the extent of Petracca’s injury, with the midfielder sustaining broken ribs, a lacerated spleen and a small puncture within his lung. He underwent a procedure to stop the bleeding last night and remains in hospital for observation and recovery.

A return to play timeline will be established in the coming week as Petracca recovers, and further medical assessment is undertaken.

Melbourne’s General Manager of AFL Performance Alan Richardson said Petracca’s health was the club’s number one priority.

"Obviously, Christian’s health is the number one priority for us at the moment. The next few weeks will be crucial, and we'll be monitoring his progress closely to make sure he heals properly and fully. As his recovery progresses, we will look towards a return to play timeline,” Richardson said.

“He's obviously an extremely important player for the team, but his health and recovery are our top priorities right now."

His health is number one priority they said lol not the win at all costs?
I can understand something happening in play but someone tells you there back is playing up you simply don't play them as was the case with Rodon.
