The wind wouldn?t have helped yesterday but Clarkson hasn?t got any assists in the 12 league games he?s played so far this season.

That?s concerning considering he takes the majority of corners and free kicks when he?s on the pitch.

I hoped he would have improved playing for Thelin this season but it hasn?t happened so far.

    Fair enough.

I don't think him and McGrath can play in the same team, but I still rate them both as players.

FWIW I thought outwith the set pieces Clarkson had a really good game yesterday. I don?t disagree that something?s gone awry with his free kicks and corners though.

We seem a bit out of sorts all over the pitch, but the lack of a reliable striker is what seems to be hurting us most. Our goal return despite that is impressive, but you can?t expect to keep doing well over time without someone up front who knocks them in.

It feels like it?s fine margins - we won a lot of games during our streak by the skin of our teeth and now we?re dropping points here and there. Maybe it?s just a regression to the mean. But either way the time has come to just get some sort of a win and get some confidence back.

    January window should be interesting.

Criticised Clarkson last game so only fair I stick up for him today.

Yes his dead balls were dreadful (my complaint last week as well) but only player outside Milne (well done laddie) & Doohan to get pass marks for me. I’m not a particular fan of his but liked his movement yesterday and you could see he was trying. Like DD don’t think both he & McGrath (whose gone off boil) work.

We’ve definitely changed approach, assume that’s down to lack of fitness/bodies and not just tinkering. Hope so.

As for rest nothing we didn’t already know but JT shown himself a good manager, hopefully him adding new additions in future will work out.

Finishing 3rd after last few seasons would still be fantastic IMO.

Luck plays a big part in the game. Wednesday night Devlin is having a great game and then one screw up from him and we're a goal down.

A few weeks prior and we probably would have got away with it.

Yesterday, McGarry tries to clear the ball and ends up smacking himself in the face with the ball and knocks it to the St Johnstone loon who scored.
McGarry could try that move again 1000 times and would never manage it.

Most teams have also figured us out and set up accordingly to counter us and we haven't come up with a plan b yet.

We didn't get beat yesterday which is what we would have been if last season.

Still of an opinion Morris is an impact sub, as his game intelligence is pretty poor and it was his introductions in a few games in our run that changed the course of the game for us. He's not had so much influence when he starts.

We are also a better defensive unit with Jack MacKenzie in the team, even though a lot of folk don't rate him. Not much we can do if he is injured, but certainly a miss.

Still a lot of games to play and we know we can play better than yesterday's showing.

Sounds as if Jimmy Thelin wasn?t too impressed with the fans booing at the end of the game yesterday.

I thought it was a bit harsh at the time but I guess it?s what some fans do when we don?t play well.

Still a lot of work to be done before it?s actually a Jimmy Thelin side so we are just going to have to accept that we are going to go through tough spells like we are at the moment.

Hopefully get back to winning ways against Hibs in 2 weeks.

I did not think the booing at full time was harsh at all, thought it was well deserved.
Just because we were on a decent run does not mean fans have to accept that pesh that was on display on Saturday.
I guess the booing was not all because of that one game, but accumulated due to the fact that from the last 5 games we have only put 3 points on the board. That is concerning.
Over the last 5 games for all teams only Kilmarnock have a worse return than us.
I am sure JT can fix this but he needs to fix it urgently.

What happens if he doesn?t fix it urgently?

Ive read a few comments like that recently and Im curious about whats going to happen if we continue a winless run through Christmas and New Year.

I dont think we will but even if we did then Thelins going to be given time to build something.

We have players in the squad that our last 3 or 4 managers havent been able to get a tune out of so if Thelin cant either then maybe its time to move them on.
