OT I know but they are remaking Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I mean why? Some films shouldn't be remade

To Stop Reform; Starmer Stops Elections
Knowing Reform will Trash Labour in the local elections, Starmer is stopping the elections in key areas where they fear defeat.
Starmer’s government is silencing voters under the guise of restructuring.
Ironically- Labour claims Reform UK is a “threat to democracy”
    Nigel Farage says
“Labour is terrified of the people’s verdict.
They know their support is crumbling, so they resort to the oldest trick in the book – stopping the vote.
This is a direct attack on democracy.”
    He added
: “The two old parties’ grip on power is loosening. The British people will not be silenced.”

GP, its a direct quote of Labours latest scuttling tactics, to halt the public criticising them.
Its all over the news if you really want it. They know the council elections are going to batter them, so better if they get delayed.

Remember the screams of "fascists", from the left when Johnson pulled his parliament shut down plan?
Seems Stasi Starmer has a short memory, ( when he;s here)

Tories crying foul of boundary changes. Pot calling the kettle black there.

They're not stopping elections, it seems, a small proportion of the local elections MAY be delayed by anything between a couple of months and a year.

That's not "scuttling" them. It's a delay. They WILL happen.

    Storm in a teacup.

IIRC, Boris proroguing of Parliament was illegal. This is, it seems, perfectly legal. It doesn't seem to please either the Blue Tories or Reform but that's Politics innit?

With regard to the GBP "diving", I received my December OAP today and my 10 quid Christmas bonus a week ago. Converted to Euros, both were the most I've ever had.

no *******s ar all, the cut and paste of the quote picking up internet code, shows no made up story.

The crux of the argument is here, and many places.
Some serious game playing here, like the mystery black hole.

    quote- from below,

As Labour pushes forward with its devolution plans, the controversy surrounding the potential cancellation of local elections is unlikely to die down anytime soon. Whether this move will ultimately benefit local governance or hinder democratic participation remains to be seen. One thing is certain: the political landscape in the UK is set for some significant changes in the coming months. Labour led by the crazy gang would an amazing job in a dark hole in the ground with the woke left as that small group of mindless dimwits knitting tank tops and lapping up the 1322 genders will just agree to anything that Keir says.
