Brothers would probably go for someone like Steven Schumacher or Steven Naismith, age on there side no compensation to pay and have above average PPG values.
After paying a fee for SM and his cronies they must realise theyve had there fingers burnt.

I doubt we'd be able to afford either of those to be honest. Schumacher has managed in the Championship and won't want to drop down two levels. Likewise with Naismith, going from the third biggest team in Scotland to Notts.

They aren't forced to play in a certain way. We have a club philosophy of how we will play and the head coach is picked that buys into it. It's not difficult to understand, it makes perfect sense unlike certain former chairmen who hired Moniz directly after Derry, complete different styles. This way the squad doesn't need a massive overhaul either each season

The reason he was "sacked" was because we had planned on replacing him with IB at the end of his contract but IB was getting attention elsewhere so they moved faster than planned.

That all seems about right.
Thankfully, the club has the example of our most ultra keep-possession side yet getting a record points haul and promotion.
Fans critical of the overall approach should remember that. What drove me mad for decades was giving the ball away cheaply.
Moments like LW telling the fans why short corners were better have aged well IMO.

I’d love to know what our corresponding stats are for how much we pass the ball in the defensive third. Too much, I’d guess, given our current results. This bit stood out for me re Liverpool:

I find it staggering that folk are using the phrase ?knee jerk? for this current situation regarding SM.

Knee jerk to me suggests a rash and premature decision to fire a manager/head coach, for example Craig Short, Derry, Moniz etc.

Maynard?s record is utterly atrocious and should have gone a long, long time ago. A failed experiment that the Bros don?t want to admit they were wrong to make.

There would absolutely nothing ?knee jerk? about getting rid of SM. In actual fact the owners either have the patience of saints, have lost interest, or aren?t prepared fall on their sword and admit they were wrong yet.
