Doug O’Kane Barnsley Chronicle.
I've said it all really. Woeful.
The fans deserve so much better than today and all year. Two wins in 17 home matches at third tier level is unacceptable.
This was maybe the worst of them all.
No wonder Oakwell is like a morgue.
It was a shocking performance fro start to finish , no one took any responsibility and I feel especially sorry for Craig and McArthy who were hooked for nothing, you could have taken anyone off but these two were scapegoated but their substitutions changed nothing , you could go through the whole team as every one of them were totally below an acceptable level , it also shows our recruitment has not been up to it , you could argue that with five key players missing it would give some fringe players a chance but alas no one grasped the metal and infact highlighted how weak our squad actually is .
Barnsley FC were very poor today, the players and those responsible for them being here and on the pitch.
The bar is now set at a new low.

One of the worst performances I?ve seen. I don?t think I?ve ever not seen/heard the final whistle before. Usually when it?s dreadful we start leaving but still catch the end. When that fourth went in, we were off.
This squad needs a serious overhaul and it?s obviously not going to happen in January so might as well start blooding some youngsters a bit more in a couple of months.
We play Bolton away, Peterborough away and Wrexham at home in our next 3 games so Clarke could be under serious pressure by early January.
When you get thumped 4-0 at home by a team well below you in the league and one you really are expected to beat it can be a line in the sand moment .
Clarke could quite easily lose his job , it's that kind of result set against an inability to win home games for almost a calendar year .
A result and a performance like that does get you the sack and I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone tomorrow .
Problem with that is that it probably won't change a great deal in my opinion .
Some of these players simply aren't up to it , they have good days away from home but over the course of the season they are simply not of sufficient quality to get us promoted out of this division and tonight I'm questioning their desire and commitment .
Some of those players today wanted to anywhere than on the pitch at Oakwell this afternoon , they didn't fancy it one bit .
If I'm HC I'm calling a meeting tomorrow morning with all the players and staff present and I'm telling quite a few of them to get in touch with their agents because their time here has just ended .
It's as brutal as that because it has to be .
We shift out who we can and we work from there in January and write this season off .
We left at a new record 72 minutes. Awful. I dont believe the squad change explanations. I think there?s deeper things gone on this week.
Could have left at 52 like the 1500 others, but was still eating mi pie
Whilst these owners are here, you could put Klopp in charge and there wouldn’t be any difference. The club is led by clueless owners, individuals, with ZERO football knowledge, playing at it and losing it. The race to League 2 is on.
Sack him, or not, the future is very bleak without some very serious investment, just to keep us in the race for a top half finish.
Very very sad that this little club is to become even littler.
Man trudges out of Oakwell after spending a few minutes lambasting the players as they sheepishly milk applause from small, scattered gatherings of happy clappers.
Suddenly he stops, and with a dramatic pointing at the ground, says----
"Al tell thi summat. This lot dunt want to gu up".
Fans walk past in apathy ready to sit in their Car Park car for at least 30 mins.
