Cheers Cayton, had it not been for nombe's mistake we would have got a point which under the conditions I think most of us would have taken, and the comments on here would have been a bit different. However, I am not defending the way SE has us playing, in those conditions yesterday, we should not be playing as many long balls as we did but he has had us playing that way from beginning of the season. Even when we try to play it on the deck, we seem to take too long to pass the ball so with nothing on seem to nearly always play back and sideways, which at times happened yesterday, a frustrating day but we move on. Correct, if you look at his record (at this level - which was posted on here a while ago) it isn't very good. He did a great job for us in his first time here, it was a different time then and our club was trying to re-establish itself from the edge of extinction, Evans and TS were a good fit at the time.

He shouldn't receive abuse and the stuff about him dying is disgusting, however as fans we are well within our rights to criticise what we see and pass our opinions on his management approach and the outcome from his work. We are 18th in the league at a time when Evans stated we would be up there challenging, it is always jam tomorrow with Evans.

Our away form is worse than before he came, because we are a league lower and we can't even score away from home never mind win. Two decent performances away out of 10, Peterborough and Charlton the rest have been awful. We only beat a very poor Cambridge side because of a fluke last minute goal. Look at our away performances at teams that are or were below us, never looked like winning any of them. Our home form is a lot better and that is why the next two games are crucial to our survival at this level. After that we are away to two top six teams and can anyone see what will Evans change to change the outcome of our away results?

We hear people say well we have had a little run and been in decent form, well not according to the stats. Using PPG off the soccer-stats site we have dropped in PPG output over the last 8 game, so we are getting worse.
I hope and expect us to do ok in the next two games, and it could be 4 or 6 points, god help us if we start losing at home.
Merry Christmas to everyone and i hope you and your families have a great time together.

Just a group of ranters who spout abuse? Really you mean the ones who travel all over the country paying their hard earned money.
Your blinkered support of him is nauseating.
It?s cult like with no evidence to back up what you keep saying.
It?s easy to just have a go at the loyal supporters because you don?t like what you?re reading isn?t it but yet you have no counter argument.
    Just waffle and denial.
    Jesus. Calm yourself down.

So it’s a fluke when we win and play well but all Evans fault when it goes wrong. I will say what I’ve said before, he needs time. He was left with a **** show following the last two managers and he’s got a strange Chairman who talks big and offers little. Unless we look like being relegated, he should be given until the end of the season at least. Nothing gets fixed in an instant and bringing in someone else is pointless at the minute.

BTW - he had a successful time at Stevenage. Getting them to where he did in their budget is a success. That’s my opinion. His record at Leeds was also decent albeit, it was never a long term thing. The Mansfield fans also hate him because he moved on having done well there too.

Only just watched brief highlights Nombe he's not really a header of the ball up front so was a not a tall forwards header trying to defend. Looked at the match report Kelly got taken off after 60 mins that tells me he shouldn't be starting. Need 3 in midfield. Wilkes Green JCH all 3 look like they can't play to the level required match in match out. I'd give McGuckin a start boxing day see if he can enough.

Last week warranted praise but yesterday was back to normal. This season has been poor for the majority.
I didn?t say you give a bias report but Tbf pal. You on numerous occasions accuse the ones criticising him as being blinkered because of their dislike of Evans.

It?s not true in the main he?s getting criticism because it?s awful to watch and he won?t take any accountability and persists with what can be described as awful football.
He?s not the right man for us and never was. His after match interviews are embarrassing he actually believes what he?s saying.
I don?t shout abuse at him or the players at the game but I?ll vent if you want to call it that on here.
You can?t keep saying it?s because we don?t like him it?s more than that.
    Have a good Christmas pal.
Got to disagree with your post YAK.
Plenty of fans slate Evans for who he is not what he's achieved. As I've said before. Some would sooner see us loose so Evans gets sacked than him build a stable winning side.
The football has been awful to watch since warne left not just since evans arrived... We get the odd flutter of a good game under evans as we did with taylor warne got us promoted twice and some were saying he's not the best for rufc. He is too nice. Then we get Taylor who is too boring. We then get Richardson who was. Well TBH I don't know. Then we get Evans who is too embarrassing.
It has too stop. chopping and changing. We need stability and imo clubs should not be able to sack a manager outside the transfer window.
Regards yesterday we were ok in the first half. Not brilliant but deffo the best team. 2nd half we were very poor. That's 2 losses and 4 wins after that shocking day at Barnsley. It's not all doom n gloom

Have a brilliant Xmas M8 and wonderful new year.

Success can be judged in various forms.
For me. Any manager who has over a 40% win rate after being a manager for over 1000 games is successful. Evans is up there with some very big names and managers who are deemed to be successful

Two worked at home last week but i think it was you that said we would need 3 when away from home. Spot on. I think he would have played that yesterday if Thiei had have been fit but not to be. That?s been SEs biggest mistake - we are a player light in midfield but as we know, he didn?t want to lose Rathbone without replacing him.

I think you have just proven his point no counter argument about tactics etc. Just a petty jibe.
I?m an Evans fan but it?s becoming more difficult to defend him.
I?m back for Christmas and I?m taking 3 games in first game a loss. Let?s hope it gets better.

Not really, I’m simply not willing to engage with people who clearly should be part of the Rotherham branch of RADA.
