I didn't see the Wigan goal because the lure of an overpriced burger stood outside in the cold was more appealing than what was being served up on the pitch in the first half.
As for the 2kd half. I was in a warm cosy pub by the time the clock ticked over to 80 minutes. We are dire and uninspiring and it is obvious this squad of players are not playing for the manager.
I was actually very onside with Evans returning. He was the reason I renewed my season ticket. I hoped and expected the slump we were in would stop, a recovery was on the cards and thought Evans was the right man to do it.
That hammering of Cardiff on the last day of last season was a damning false dawn.
If you are reading this Steve then do the noble thing and accept all isn't right and walk away from the club.

A very ineffectual performance. Our so called captain should look himself in the mirror and ask did I do enough today? Experienced players passed to a black shirt rather than a red one when there was no pressure. The central midfield was a void for Wigan to run into unchallenged. Likewise their goal. Scandalous lack of awareness and tackling. What is wrong with our players that they can't do the basics? We desperately need an aggressive tough guy in the centre of midfield. Our manager wiill get January to atone for his poor signings. But you are entering the last chance saloon Mr Evans and future job prospects are worse than bleak. Regret to say this

I?m not going to say anything about the manager because he?s not worth the effort
Phillips spent the entirety of the second half on and off arguing with fans in the family stand. What an arrogant man who?s not very good at all.
The team is shockingly bad and I don?t feel any connection at all with any of them.
Abject failures this season the lot of them.
Picking up a wage for minimal desire and application.
Club statement needed but I doubt it.

The manager should be sacked now but that only deflects from the main problem and we all know what that is.

A statement Yak? You will wait a long time. They may sack Cliff, but they won’t sack Evans.

When will the penny drop with people that some changes will happen in January? We do not have the money necessary. Loans, it is all we will get, with outgoings to the accounts.

To the poster who said Philips was arguing with supporters….you are on dodgy ground if this is not true. Can it be substantiated?

First half i thought we were the better side until they scored. Pityful defending basic schoolboy errors which should never happen, but do to us.
Second half we didn't turn up again.
Side has no structure, no shape, no tactics, no leaders and no effort, basically no hope.
We can't keep hold of the ball, pick a pass. the midfield is mostly irrelevent, when it does have the ball the movent up front in no existent. Defenders don't pick up loose players in dangerous areas and keeper goes down like a falling tree.
The manager has pinned his hope on a has been musclebound, overweight and slow centre forward with only someone who couldn't give a damn to replace him.
He's brought in midfield players who are either past their best or flatter to decieve and players who are his mates and will be allys to him in the drerssing room.
This is not the worst Rotherham side i have supported but it's getting there.
Tony it's time for a change i know you are rubbish at picking managers and any experienced manager worth a shout won't come due to what he has to deal with in the background. so it's time to take a risk and give it to a young inexperienced person with fresh ideas and hope we
strike lucky like we did the Warne, at least he got the players playing for the club even if his tactics were lacking.
Most of the players we have aren't bad just have no direction or motivation and someone to give them that should be enough to keep us in this division and build next year. I don't think Mr Evans can do that.

Don’t know if it’s true but I’ve heard TS has gone on holiday and will be gone for most of January not that 2 or 3 loan signings will make any odds I do feel a bit low to say the least as regards everything RUFC but at the same time it’s fairly low on my priorities at the mo especially this time of year Xmas, loved ones etc
Don’t really know the answer but at the same time I don’t think I’m really bothered and I didn’t think I’d ever say that after 40+ years of following the Millers I can take losing but it’s the sheer lack of effort that I can’t I know we are paupers ? wise compared with a lot of teams but the players are still well paid compared with the average Joe in the street, there’s no pride in the shirt no self pride either don’t know how they sleep at night to be honest I know that’s naive but you’d think they’d put a shift in especially near January if only to get a move elsewhere

I was thinking of not going today, with the train / bus services not running, but decided
to go, so took my car.
The game for a Millers fan was dire, big boot upfield was the common factor, when we
won anything off it, instead of going forward with a ball into the penalty area, we passed
    the ball back.
At times we played out from the back, mainly in the second half, I thought keep the ball
on the floor, pass the ball through midfield, but no, it was big boot upfield.
At one time we had 4 Millers forward players, so left midfield bare.
When Hugill came on, he had no interest, with one time he didn't attack the ball at all, with
Millers fans including myself standing & making our frustration verbally.
On this from the fans, Hugill looked to have made a hand gesture [wan*er] to fans, in which
quite a lot of fans shouted you are not fit to wear the shirt, especially being the captain on
him coming on as a sub.
We were not 100% sure about the gesture, but with the fans reaction it seemed plauseable.

Evans needs to look in the mirror, & see its not working at the club, the players he brought
in have not blended, with most times being played out of position, the tactics being used
completely absurd, blaming players for his mistakes, his public relations with fellow managers
a disgrace, he blames every one except himself & Paul Raynor.
Time for a dinosaur manager Steve Evans to leave our club.

The boardroom also have to take stock, with what is happening with the club, Tony Stewart
needs to accept he needs new blood in the boardroom, with investment from another source,
while replacing Paul Douglas with a Chief Executive Officer who knows football & finance.

On what I witnessed today at the NYS, the club are in a relegation battle.
