Romared Match Thoughts Peterborough United v Barnsley

A ground we seem to do well at but can't beat Posh at home over the last 4 season's .

I know what your thinking but have a minute , Posh are coming off a thumping home defeat on boxing day and given the Fergie family DNA he'll expect a response and will probably get one .

Does Clarke start with those who turned the Bolton game around on boxing day or stick with those who he started the game with and have the option to bring them on if needed ?

Working Clarke out is more problematic than finding a reason why our home form is so atrocious in my opinion .

Saying that at least Fergie junior won't have a clue either until 2 PM .

    My preferred team:

    ????? Killip
    ?? Mael - Pines - McCarthy
    O?Keeffe - Phillips - Nwakali - Gent
    ? Cotter - Humphries - Dunn

This game is our 23rd of the season, heyf way through. Some other clubs around us have played a game or two less.

A win at Posh will put us on 36 pts, theoretically doubled to 72 pts, leaving us just short of the 6th place Play Off position last season.

A defeat at Posh will see us on 33 pts, doubled to 66 pts, a total which be 9th last season.

As with many previous games I have no idea how this game will go and our inconsistency may well leave us just short and bring a fourth consecutive season in the Third Division under Parekh.

Very much wore down a very poor Posh side today.
However we played well in spells and saw out a pretty comfortable win.
Time for McCann to swap jobs with Ferguson AGAIN! I can see Posh going down if they continue like that.

Considering the match not the scoreline.
This Peterboro team is the worst I?ve seen for a few seasons.
    Three well taken Barnsley goals.
The high press is the best I?ve seen in the last two seasons - excellent.

Only downsides are our strikers are not finding space - and the last pass is often either too late or poor quality because of that.
Watters and Cosgrove are just not good enough - at least young Marsh finds room to receive the ball - hence the reason I prefer him to the two more senior strikers.
