It's very poor as usual with no design whatsoever to our play. One moment Hungbo is wide left then deep centre mid..JCH just ambling around quite often not watching play out wide so as not to take any responsibility. No first tough at all from anyone in red as the key word throughout this thread...depressing. How can we have eleven players who have no basic control of the ball?

Yep, still no idea what our strategy is. Little width our connection between strikers, our strikers and midfield. Ball not sticking with us and they are increasing in confidence in running through us. 2nd seems inevitable

We are getting hammered this 2nd half, midfield overrun we need to have an extra man in midfield not so many forwards, wilks is a waste of space when we don?t have the ball and his ability to hold a ball in transition is terrible.

Depressing we haven?t had an effort on goal so far this half
Depressing that the comms sound depressed too. Never heard Matty Goodwin and Les Payne so fed up

Just watch our marking in midfield though...it's laughable...jockeying side on to the ball so getting beat every time...I want to like Powell as he has some energy but he doesn't cut passing lanes or get a foot in and when he's beaten just jogs back looking lost. I so want us to be better and not grumble all the time but we are so poor everywhere across the whole team combined with this long hoofball from the keeper every time he gets it...I can't remember us being so bad offensively since The Mark Druce Andy Hayward times.

Bad injury to their star centre half, and taken Barry off. Can only hope that disrupts them and gives us a hope with the hoof ball

Totally agree. Mark Druce was utter garbage but at least he didn't cost Nombe money or have JCH wages.

Total echos of the Danny Bergara days right through the club and back then we were all shouting Boothy out!

Weathered the storm and battled for a well earned point, much better but we need to work that hard every game. We need to have the extra man in midfield we are not good enough to play a front 4 and it is time to tighten up and get enough points to stay in the league.

I don't blame the players for the inability of the midfield to mark. We play periods when we press energetically, but it's not consistent. This half we are in 'stand-off' mode, with the result that their players are able to move into space and no one seems to pick them up.

We don't mark tight, we don't press. You can't blame the hard-pressed midfield for not knowing what to do.

The quality of the passing is another conversation.

I think the issue is the coaching and tactics, we have some decent players but footballers need a system to play in and they have to believe in the system, we don’t have that. We have this silly 4-2-1-3 system that leaves us wide open, it is childish coaching and tactics. A better coach with these players and we would be top half.
