Halfway Down - Views so Far

Not perfect but we?re halfway through the season and we?re top of the league.

Do we need a striker? Given the number of chances missed maybe but we?ve still scored more than any other team and by a clear margin.

For me, we stick with what we?ve got and try and improve the conversion ratio of chances created into goals.

Ramazanni could/should play more for me and Aaronson less.

    B+/A- for me.

We sit top of the league at Christmas/New Year with over 50 points and lamenting the points which got away.

Think the summer signings have been largely very good and Farke is now rotating the squad more as he now trusts Rothwell and Tanaka.

Challenge is in some positions we have players that are good at one or two things but not everything (up front, 10) come to mind.

Aaronson?s work ethic and the shifts he puts in must be up there with the top 3 in this league but his composure in front of goal sometimes deserts him. Maybe that goal will give him confidence as I agree with WTF from another thread that was one of the best worked goals from us for a long time and his run and finish were excellent.

If we have a better second half of the season surely we must finish in the top 2.

I'm very glad to see Farke rotating players during this critical period. We've picked up points while rotating lots of players in. I suspect taht we might lose some defensive players including Strujik and Firpo. Strujik will hurt. No way to sugarcoat that but 25 million gives you a lot of options. Firpo can be replaced. I won't miss the defensive adventures but will miss the offensive thrusts.

I'll be in the minority but stand pat on the striker position. Anyone selling a striker this time of year is offloading a liability. Sell bamford and let Piroe, Joseph and Joffy know it's their job to keep for the rest of the season. It's time to see if they can make it at the next level. we know that bamford can't.

Discussions on "upgrading our midfield" make no sense right now. We have the best in the league and adding another player messes with the chemistry as well as being a budget buster. It's a "solution looking for a problem".

Sell Meslier if we get good money and let's develop another keeper. we lose this position battle in almost every game we play and ours is the most expensive in the league. He'll be a star somewhere else but that's the way the ball bounces sometimes. It's not like Farke and the goalkeeping coach haven't had the time to watch them in practice.

we are the best team in the league on paper and on the pitch. It's time to let them prove themselves. Give the players a vote of confidence and hold the line on additions to the squad.
