    Lincoln City Post Match Thoughts

A nice start to 2025 with one of the rarest beasts, an away win. Did SE have a cunning plan or did he simply put the names in a cocktail shaker last night and see what came out? Once the bemusement over the starting XI and formation died down it was nice to see a bit of positivity on the match thread for once.

    Thoughts?

Much more mobility up front without JCH and Green. Phillips - couple of wonderful saves. Humphreys in midfield - my MOM - composure personified but he did get Rafferty booked!

Lincoln were dreadful and the only time they looked dangerous was when we gifted them possession or fouls.

Only downside - Holmes should have been on the right from 60 minutes - local lad who would have bust a gut to make an impression.

    Great start to 2025.

Didn't take long to win as many away league games as last year did it. 😂

Good performance and the majority of the credit to SE for making some brave decisions. Humphries and Powell did well but also a worth mentioning the centre half pairing who are becoming quite a pair. Phillips also did well - hes a decent enough keeper given the chance.

Foot note - special mention to those Duke's Bar regulars who advised SE on the formation and personnel changes. I won't name them here to protect their modesty other than to say, if only he had listened to you sooner!

Just got in car cracking result. Better performance.
    Humphries very good
As for your comment about the regulars why can?t you just praise a result instead of having a dig.

Scrapping the barrel for comments Derby - Nombe was the weakest link. JCH would have added to that team.
