Was quite happy with yesterday?s performance.
Thought we played well especially after seeing the line up and wondering what the heck were we going to get.
    Humphries had a good game.
Ok Lincoln were not great but as has been said, you can only play what?s in front of you.
Last time at Lincoln saw one of the most one sided games ever and we only drew 1-1.
No rise tinted glasses, we?re not great but said previously, don?t worry about relegation, there?s 4 worse teams in this division than us.

    Thought ref was half decent.
As well as Humphries did, didn’t help rafferty with the short pass that earned him a booking though.

I said after the Northampton game that I'd take that game on its own merits, and we had three largely dismal outings since. Lincoln have been inconsistent (at best) of late and it showed. They presented almost no threat whatsoever and haven't chased us down like most other teams.

We were better. That position suits Cam, and quips from trolls aside, many have said it would for a long time, and pre-dating Evans too. We were sluggish and ineffective in the first half though, before eventually clicking for a 10 minute spell early second half. For that spell we looked good. To be honest though, that level dipped and whilst we looked better than them, it wasn't by miles.

The goal was a Millers special, another for the "what happened there" scrapbook. That probably typifies how we're doing, we just don't have a great amount of goal threat and it takes a "weird" goal to get us a win. That said, calmly taken and very well put away.

Reality time again now with two games which are likely more difficult. Nothing that went before yesterday suggested that was Evans' ideal XI, so things might get the lotto machine effect before Huddersfield. Good result, very average performance with a good spell for a time. UTM.

    Exactly this.
We should be pleased about the win but not get carried away.
    Saturday will tell us more.

I think the transfer window will tell us a lot about matters off the field as well. I do not expect us to get anything at Huddersfield, but if we put in a performance and look like they are trying that has to be an improvement on what we saw at Barnsley, Crawley, Leyton Orient and Mansfield. We are not going to look world beaters just like that, I still think the goalkeeper long ball hoof down the middle is just a lottery tactic but improvement has been needed and should be recognised when we see it. We still have a trophy to play for and our L1 status to guarantee.

Yes I agree with all this but listening to Evans unfortunately I think his BIG players ,who have had a really hard Christmas will be back at Huddersfield. So sadly back to normal me thinks ,but I hope not .

Wilkes up front for JCH or a more freer role there especially 1st half made us look more of a threat up front. Need to get the players in to able go full on playing 4-3-3. Wide right player at least one midfielder in for starters. Brought Cam back in from the cold Bramall showed yesterday with his pace same for James. Huddersfield game be better being called off played at a later date when we've refreshed squad.

I'm sure that's right and January is going to be interesting. I hope we can bring some quality in but that's always difficult in this window and we are hardly an attractive proposition at the moment.
I really hope we can keep Humphreys and that he proves to be consistently successful as a defensive midfielder because then maybe, just maybe, we will play more through midfield and cut down on the usual hoofball rubbish.

Exactly my point on Evans' ideal XI. At no point with a full, fit squad does Cam start in defensive midfield. I'm not sure what the rationale was yesterday (lack of depth, getting him in 'shop window', change of heart, football reasons we mortals can't understand) but I've seen no previous suggestion Cam was being lined up to play there.
