    Jamie McCart

Agrees to join Hearts at the end of the season ! but Hearts are trying to negotiate with Rotherham to make it happen in January !

That would leave us short of centre backs, especially left footed ones - thoughts anybody !

Did he ever want to be here?

Looked tidy when he first arrived but never got the starts. As I've seen more of him I think he's pretty limited, and although he'll do a job he won't be difficult to replace. Evans seems to want to sever legacies of past managers and this is one of the easier ones to get on board with.

Decent in the air but gets caught ball watching too often ?

Our standards have really dropped if we think McCart is a good player.

Let's thank our lucky stars that another club actually want to spend money on him

We may need to drop our expectations. 10 years of growth including bringing on Premiership, Championship and international footballers and now we struggle to identify any player as wanting to be a part of Rotherham United!

While we're talking defenders, picture this scenario.

Big talk of Humphreys already leaving, McCart also going this month if the deal can be sorted as Hearts want him now.

Now for the big one! A deal is FINALLY offered to Hakeem Odoffin and he says NO. Where does that leave our back line?

Obviously IF Humphreys is going he will be sold and not allowed to leave on a free like countless others, through the ineptness of whoever sorts contracts, also Odoffin will also be sold and not be allowed to leave on a free, that's what Evans said quite recently on our previous shambles of RUFC allowing players to leave for nothing. He will cash in on both.

Sit back and let's see how this firework pans out. I truly want the touch paper to fizzle out and both Cam and Hakeem stay.

You say ineptness but a club in our yo-yo position should only be giving out contracts at a maximum of three years, and even that is a risk, because for every potential Viktor, there's a potential Hugill.

The only way to get players to sign longer contracts and not leave is to pay them substantially more than we do, or point a gun at their head and force them to sign.

Or we have to sell within the first year of signing them to get the absolute maximum value and then be accused of lacking ambition and always getting rid of our best players at the first opportunity.

Which would you rather we do?

As for McCart, half decent league one defender, nothing more. Within a few weeks of leaving we'll probably all have forgotten he was ever here.

I think the club will take the money if they think raggett is going to be fit enough. I have a feeling Odoffin contract won’t happen early enough in the window and we will hear of yet another delay, something along the lines of seeing where we are financially after the window closes, we had that in the summer. If his agent is half decent he will have something lined up for him.
TS January sale is going well so far, Karen must have some green on her spreadsheets.

I'm sorry but I can't see raggett ever being fit for more than two games in a row. He hasn't got it in him anymore.
