Why do some of our so called supporters constantly have to do this.
We think he might leave so start to tarnish him.
In his time at Notts his performances have ranged from good to unplayable. His assists and goal return has been very good and he?ll be in league 1 next season either with or without us.
What has he ever done to suggest he has an ?ego.?
I haven?t witnessed anything. Not a single thing. And where does this perception of him not being part of the team come from? Again, no evidence.
I say with absolute certainty that we don?t win 3 on the bounce over Christmas without him. I was ill over Christmas so watched the MK and Cheltenham games on TV, opting to listen to the away commentary. In both games the commentators constantly stated that everything runs through Crowley, and it absolutely does.
He holds onto the ball because he has the skill to lose a player with ease and give us the overload. And he does it time and time again.
The fans that criticise him for being a show pony are the same as the ones that criticised the likes of Nemane for not trying to take on three players every time he got the ball.
Just have some class. Dan Crowley is a brilliant player at this level and we all know it. If you don?t, then you don?t know the first thing about football.

Totally agree with all this and those posters recognising how good Crowley is and has been for us. We’re lucky to have him and I hope he stays but will wish him all the best for his future if he leaves. I just don’t understand the need some posters have to slag off ex-players and those they perceive to be wanting to leave.

Agree 100%, the miserable gits that do this seem to look at football as if it's work at a factory, warehouse or office.
It isn't - it's entertainment and that means watching players do things regular folk can't do.
An 'ego'? I should hope he has a big ego, we need confident players to try to dominate. I love it when he holds on to the ball - because you know the opposition want somebody else to have it rather than him. It's a result if they can force him to offload to a less dangerous player.

It's all too easy and obvious to think about the couple of times he was dispossessed, while still searching for a good, creative option. What do the same people think when another player just passes it out of touch two times running, or commits turnovers time after time for not being able to do what DC does to get away from them? No reaction it seems, or they would mention it.

It won't be just the opposition commentators identifying him as a danger man, it'll be the managers and players too hellbent on stopping him - and that frees up space for other players to take advantage.

I'm looking forward to another vintage performance today, because who knows how long it will last.
Wootten and Ruben moved on, and it works both ways, we offered him just a 2-year deal at the time. That's not a great deal of security, so eventually the boots on the other foot.

    Absolutely agree with this.

As I said, I do think that there are occasions when he could pass it quicker, but he is a brilliant player.

The one again getting criticised on the match-thread though we won today. Fortunately the Sky commentator who was very good could see what he does / tries to do and mentioned the positive effect he has.

Absolutely, there was a reason we lacked some of our creativity today after he went off.

I completely agree. Crowley is a very talented and creative football player and is technically very good on the ball with his feet and can turn shield and protect the ball with such fantastic skill. When he is on the ball he is able to draw opposition players in but then manipulate his way out of tight areas and space and then release the ball into the space or areas that have been created. That one pass can then take two players around him or even three out of the game.

If Crowley leaves in the summer when out of contract like Ruben and Wootton so be it. It's a job and a career and a short one at that. You can't begrudge players or managers wanting to play at the highest level possible and there is no reason to be bitter or scorned about it. We should be thankful that we have had players like Crowley, Langstaff, Wootton, Rodrigues in recent years who have gone on to play at a higher level and who want to progress in the game but who have also helped take the club upwards as well. It certainly beats having the left overs that nobody else want's and has been's and never will be's that we used to have when we were floating around League One and Two previously.

Plus the radar found Crowley after RR so there reason to be optimistic that the radar will be able to find a suitable successor preferably in the summer when more players and better deals will be available. Maybe if we get promoted there maybe a chance Crowley might sign a contract? Unless he does a RR and goes up two levels to the championship? What will be will be so let's enjoy Crowley and the positive impact he has on the team while he is here which fingers crossed will be until the summer.
