Thread: Sustitutions

    Sustitutions

Terrible game management again, with no League game for two weeks surely Maja, Grant and Johnston could have lasted until the end, Surely Bartley should have come to see out the win, but no 5 foot nothing Allen scores with a free header, i really can't see what Cole, Diangana and Swift bring to this side, a side that was playing well and dominating play, the subs once again impacted the game and result

The trouble is that today it seems par for the course to make multiple subs. Why? If someone is playing badly or is struggling with an injury, yes. It seems to me though that it is done for the sake of it when not required. We have suffered too many times this season because of this. As the saying goes: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Who is making all these selections and substitutions? There?s your answer!

Surprised at Brunt ( unless it?s CC?s other eyeball ) that two very talented youngsters don?t get a sniff. 3-0 up against Preston and no youngsters but two donkeys ie Wallace and Cole.

No wonder our youngsters leave to clubs like Villa!! Do we really think a fabulous Bostock could do any worse than Bag of Cole? For f uck sake!

Bringing Cole on is what really surprises me, I think that he is one of the worst football players that I have ever seen. The team would surely be better off playing with ten men that having Cole on, as there is no expectation of an absent player!

Wallace played really well yesterday. Even the Swansea commentator said he was glad he came off because hes been a thorn in our side. Credit where its due. As to substitutions whatever we might think all the teams do it. Even on the continent.

That may be the case but does that make it correct. I realise that I don’t have all the info. that the coaching staff have at their disposal but from what I have witnessed at the Albion, it hasn’t been a success.

The subs later in game are mainly due to data with regards their fitness .
Apart from Ajay who made a mistake and then sprinting after the player and tearing his muscle .
We have done well with long term injuries .
Bartley was a miss yesterday ,but playing the games he has done since his knee surgery, it was right to rest him .

Yes, Bartley was a miss yesterday but he was on the bench. If he was on the bench then he should be available to come on. To my mind that would have been a sensible move for the last 15 mins. or so and not some of the other needless substitutions made. He might have prevented Allen?s equaliser. What use was bringing Cole on? Does not make sense to me.

Difficult to understand the substitutions, particularly in light of the period before our next Championship game. Quite apart from the quality of the players coming on, the momentum definitely changed in Swansea’s favour.
