Curious indeed. I mentioned it the other day and highlighted by actually giving SM a rating after a win. I can?t recall a time when the head coach gets a mark after anything other than a draw or loss. Why?s that?

I did actually ponder this. I saw a few do this and have done it myself in the past. I?m changing tack from now on, personally; no SM rating and no numerical rating for a player brought on after 65 minutes.

The player that currently deserves the most appreciation though is Sam Austin.
He?s put in such a shift over Christmas but today he was brilliant from start to finish.
He gets a lot of stick but every squad needs a Sam Austin and I?m delighted for him.
Yep. He?s been a real highlight. He seems to have found a new vein of form, probably due to not moving him around too much.

If you cant excel against the poorest team in the division, then its time to hang your boots up. How has he fared against the top team I wonder ???

I think SM got plenty of plaudits after the three wins prior to Walsall with several people lauding him as a tactical genius.

He did I saw the complimentary comments but didn?t see any ratings. What scores did he receive after those recent 4 wins?

There was a time when you would know if we had won or lost by whether there was a ratings thread or not.

It also seems that the worse our performance or result, the longer the match thread. I suppose that's understandable as supporters want to look at why we were poor or lost.

The 4 recent wins included against Bradford, MKD, Cheltenham who were in good form and Swindon who had 8 points from the last 4 games including beating Grimsby and drawing at Wimbledon and Bromley. Hardly the poorest teams in the division.

Can you not give SM any credit? We are 6th, 2 points off 2nd and with a better goal difference than them. How does that compare with when he was appointed?

Carlisle are currently the poorest team followed by Morecambe then it's Swindon, so yes Swindon are obviously a poor side but don't forget we lost to Sutton and FGR under Maynard last season so hopefully we've cut out the silly throwing points away to garbage.

Oops - I have misunderstood and thought you were writing about SM not DMG.
