    January window.

Sonny Bradley off to Wycombe. Rumours of a German/USA DM arriving on a free from Philadelphia Union.

Good for all parties, even possibly Wycombe. A bit of pride swallowing by PW as SB was 'his' man

Yeah good move really. Would like to see the likes of Washington or Collins moved on to get a striker in too.

I feel like we will need to take a chance on an unknown striker, competition and cost is too high otherwise. Would be lovely to find a Rasiak or Christie out there.
Strengthening defense is never a bad thing, we ship too many goals.

Bradley hasn't worked out so shipping him out to create a slot in the 25 man squad is sensible. We have Cash, Nels, Nat P, Foz and Roons for that role which should be enough.

Rumours of Harvey Knibbs and Louie Barry coming in which means we have to ship at least one more out.

Als Polish Left-back Tymoteusz Puchacz rumoured.

Gotta be 'Wash' surely. He's so far off playing there must be a case for cancelling his contract IF we can afford to, as it saves us no money net, once a new squad member is recruited in his place

Yep, seems he's all washed out...

When Adams, Tommo and Ossie are all properly fit again, I don't see Chirewa even making the bench so he could well be on his way back to Wolves

Ward, Barks and Collo could all be candidates to be shipped out too.

Whether we'd be able to do all this in January or not is another matter. It's easy enough releasing players, but bringing them in is the challenge.

That highlights an issue we have this month. We now have a space in the max allowed squad size of 25 so we can now bring a player in.

In order to bring a 2nd player in we'd have to ship another out first. I've seen rumours Wash doesn't want to go. One says he turned down a move in the summer as the new club was offering a grand a week less...

Each time, one out before we can bring one in. Returning loan players to their parent club looks the easiest way. Chirewa going back looks like it could happen. Unless he's "broken" I see Ozoh staying. Harness is worth keeping for the rest of the season IMO. Same goes for Phillips. Yates? Works hard, defends well but is 5 goals in 22 appearances what we require from our #9? I would suggest it's not. Is Yates playing preventing Brown's development? If so, should we send him back to Swansea? Let Brown play as the #9 OR play Brown as the #9 with Yates playing off him. Dah can play with his back to the goal, he can hold the ball up. Two things that Yates doesn't do.

If we keep Yates and don't, for instance, send Brown out on loan, who do we send out in order to bring a new striker in? Wash, who, apparently, doesn't want to go or lose Chirewa, accept one less MF player and bring in a #9? How would that affect Brown's development?

The staff have some difficult decisions to make over the next 3 weeks or so. Like most fans, I'd like the business sorted quickly but think any transactions will be in the last week of the window.

MA, I know very little about the running of football clubs but surely we could make up the 1k a week between now and June (around 25k) to rid ourselves of a player who contributed little last season, appears surplus to requirement this and who is apparently preventing us from strengthening. I fear Washington, alongside Bradley and CBT, may be on most people’s Claude Davis/Derek Hales/Gary Teale/Nick Pickering team sheet. Needs a ‘keeper.
