    Deja vu?.all over again?

The amateur way in which they prioritise won?t change, it comes now off the back of wasting a lot of money. It is predicable.

What gets me most is that Odo won?t be on big money, so where is the problem???? It shows they are not going to offer anyone another contract until the summer.

Stinking mess, which is getting worse. This is one season ticket not getting renewed. Listening Stewart?

What we are reading about above is the complexities of running a football club. Its not an easy business. Rotherhams promotions to the Championship over recent years have been wonderful but they have also brough additional challenges, particularly in terms of player rentention and contracts following relegation.

Are we set up for success here? Probably not given our back office capabilities but, as others have commented above, TS cannot simply write blank cheques to keep the likes of Odoffin on the playing staff. Personally, I would sell him and Tiehi now and try and bring a couple of 100k into the budget. We could use that to bring in some younger potential. I would try and convince Humphries to stay but I sense that is also unlikely. So I would keep him and accept he leaves at the end of the season for nothing.

Lets not pretend?.Odo is not a very good player?.he is a 1 in 10 performer. Perhaps the board, if not the manager know this?

Big difference chasing after a top player (which we don’t really often) and an average player which he is. Need to remember, apart from Woody who else has been here longer than 3 seasons under Stewart? Hard one isn’t it. Cannot think of one…..oh!…..RS, PD.

The most stupid thing i’ve heard on here…..keep him and let go for nothing. The squad is weak, and manager, it all needs changing and that takes money. As it stands Cam is our best asset, given the cock up with everything he is bound to go with a fee.

Oh look - I’m surprised you are still active on here after the abuse you have been handing out towards SE. Totally inappropriate language. I would like the Moderators to take a look at this individuals posts this week and form a judgement.

And Steve - don’t bother replying to me as it will not be read.

We have always been a selling club and I suspect we always will be unless something miraculous happens concerning the ownership of the club.
Whether we're very good at getting a decent price for our better assets under the current regime is a debatable point.
We always seem to have conflicting opinions on here about whether we should sell certain players or let their contracts run down and let them go for nothing.
Part of the problem seems to be that the club doesn't have a clear strategy in this area whereas better run clubs develop players, sell them at a profit BUT usually seem to have suitable replacements lined up.
I accept that's not an easy thing to do but it really should be a key requirement in the role of the Head of Recruitment or whatever his current title is.
