    Tamworth

Some commitment by the part-timers ! Tremendous effort all round.
One of the post match interview comments from a Tamworth player, having played 120 mins and held Spurs for 90 mins, was.. well back to my day job tomorrow!

If ever a tie illustrates just how low the FA Cup has sunk with its pandering to the big clubs it's this.

The reward for Tamworth drawing the match should have been a replay at Spurs in front of 60,0000. FAntastic for the players, FAntastic for the fans, FAntastic for the club finances. Instead they are out.

The Big '5' have won 21 of the last 22 of a competition which just gets in the way of their greed league and European wishes. Why not just give them a bye into the last 8 and save everyone the pretence it's not all about them. Grrrrr!

Football. It is not what it used to be!

    It favours the big boys.

The FA are a disgrace, everything is all about sucking up to the so-called big clubs. The referee today wasn’t great, either, he didn’t give a definite foul on a Tamworth player on the edge of the Spurs box, then does give a similar one for Spurs from which they score. Tamworth also had a good shout for a penalty, a push in the back anywhere else on the pitch would be a free kick, so it should have been a penalty. A few yellow cards dished out, too, none of them warranted. The FA, though, by scrapping replays, have denied Tamworth a big, well deserved pay day, shame on them.

The FA have continually watered down the seriousness, the history, the need and excitement for most of the FA Cup over the years. When I say most fans I am speaking about the real football fans who support real football clubs. It s a shame all real clubs do not start a proper cup competition or perhaps rename the League/Carabao cup and make a prestigious competition for all, apart from those who do not take it seriously.

Someone needs to grab football by the nuts and squeeze it. The game is in a rot that probably 90% of the fans are not really happy with.

Totally agree! All about screwing every penny out of the individual and most players and pundits are on riches many dream about.

Sadly many supporters are stamping their feet by not going to games and buying fire sticks. I pay ?100 a year and can watch any game in the world - any time - any day. Why would I pay for a Sky subscription!

More excitement too watching non league or league 2 matches. Players on modest wages like Harrogate yesterday chase every ball soaking in sweat and are actually part of the community with their supporters.

Personally speaking if I were a Tamworth supporter I'd be looking at grabbing Tamworth's chair'person' by the nuts. ?29 for a kid's ticket and ?42 for adults is fkn exorbitant.

Whilst it remained a sellout many regular attending 'real supporters' were priced out of some wonderful FA Cup memories by their 'real club'. Tamworth missed out on a replay but they still got a payday.

Ps, given the fact the pound signs in my post were replaced with question marks even this site thinks the pricing structure was questionable 😉.
