Ask yourself, who got more assists last year? Crowley or JJ? Palmer can play those balls Crawley does without the running in circles five times, he can load JJ up with the ball in the higher areas of the pitch, JJ can provide Jatta and McGoldrick the ammo to put it in the net. We only missed him earlier in the season because we didn't have JJ and Palmer was still finding his feet

I've not been following AN - is he doing ok at MK Dons?

DC got 10 assists last season. I hope we got good money for him, but to say we didn?t miss him recently or we won?t miss him for the rest of the season is wishful thinking imo.

Started nearly every game (apart from against us) and has the most assists for them with seven. I don’t think he has scored yet.

I personally hope against hope he stays.

While I'm not counting on promotion by any means, it sure would be lovely and losing Crowley, especially to direct competition, will hurt our chances.

Especially if we have another run of bad luck with injuries, or new signings don't pan out etc etc.

I?m prepared to be proven completely wrong on this, but I?m fine with it. I was starting to look forward to Crowley moving on in the summer anyway, so if MK have given us some giant sacks of cash for him then that?s great.

I thought DC was absolutely fantastic for the first few months he was here, playing high up the pitch, doing all of his work around and in the box. Since then (and it was pre-Maynard, that just made it worse) he?s become ever-more frustrating. He can suck the life out of games sometimes IMO, he?s on the ball constantly, making it hard for anyone else in that area of the pitch to do anything, and impossible for us to move forward as a team quickly. Yes it looks great when he plays six one-twos, does a Cruyff turn and then plays a through ball no one else had even noticed, but there are far more attacks that end up stifled because of his stubborn reluctance to play the ball forward early and sharply. Add that to him offering essentially nothing when we don?t have the ball and tracking back, and tendency to save his champagne performance for a home game against someone 17th in the league rather than when we really need them, and? I can see the logic.

Which sounds like I am really criticising him, which I don?t want to. He?s been fun to watch, been at the heart of some beautiful football, and is really naturally gifted. But I don?t think ?does having a Dan Crowley make you more or less likely to get promoted in League Two? is a simple question to answer.

I?m fairly pragmatic about players leaving. It?s football and if the rumours are true that?s ?1m received for 2 players?. When was the last time that happened? Pavis era?
It?s actually a selling point that Notts can point too?. Players know that we can help them progress their careers and won?t stand in the way of that if the price is right.
As with all good players, you will miss them? however, I?ve never been more confident than I am now, that players can be replaced. Jatta is no Macca, but boy has he been some replacement. The same could happen when DC leaves?I wonder what fee Spurs would want for Abbott?

Fool me once shame on you! Fool me twice shame on me.! Think Wooton and Rodders both who had a bigger chance of staying with promotion looming. Crowley's just waiting to go no matter what. Get rid, take the cash and reinvest it where its needed.

This tweet sums up how I feel about the Crowley situation. At the end of the day, id rather we didn't sell him to a promotion rival, but as he obviously doesn't want to be here, good riddance.

Get rid. Had cost the team a few goals losing possession because he demanded the ball. Not as good as he thinks he is if only moving to another L2 club , one that is soul less. Makes you wonder why no clubs higher up want him. Stagis wanted him in the Summer but wouldn't stump up the fee. They ran out of fingers counting
