In the last few games, we have gone to a more obvious 3-4-1-2 with DC in the hole. McGoldrick has definitely been deployed closer to Jatta but has had licence to roam as well. We have picked up plenty of points and have looked good; I do not see the formation changing wildly.

The statement alludes to Jarvis, Whitaker, Grant and Edwards. We have also seen Martin improve massively in recent games, with Brown and Sam Austin also being natural 10s.

Conor Grant, given his involvement earlier in the season, seems the obvious next cab off the rank. With Whitaker and Jarvis being pretty much total unknowns, I think we will see Grant in the 10 on Saturday. Him and Edwards would both be good options in there. DCs flexibility and ability to play deeper allowed him, MP and GA to rotate nicely and I would like to see that continue.

The idea of Jodi in the 10 is exciting, but I think he would be more effective out wide. No doubt he has the ability to play 10, but I think he would limit MP and GA in a progressive sense and his delivery from wide is invaluable. So consistently, its a no from me, but as an option to shake it up, yes please.

For all those happy to see DC go (and those not so) whats next? Lets hear it.
I agree with you, the shape will stay pretty much the same. We play 1-up, but need to attack in numbers, that's a no-brainer.

First thing to note I think is that this adds to our dependence on Didzy to provide the creativity, at least in the short-term. I think Abbott will be expected to continue to do more in the final-third as well.

Apart from that, across the frontline of 5 there are 2 shirts up for grabs to join Jatta, Didzy and JJ regardless of what role or side he settles back into. For those 2 places I don't think it can avoid being trial and error over the next few weeks, and I hope we don't lose points in the process. If forced to choose, I'd definitely want Tsaroulla and then have hopes for Jarvis, from what we've seen in the vids
