His quotes in the MK article will clearly upset plenty. But let us not kid ourselves, that sort of thing (and plenty more, plenty worse) will be going on with players, agents and clubs up and down the country.
If the way he has handled it all has been that detrimental to the squad, then it?s fair enough they have let him go.
Its just the fact it?s a L2 club that really sticks.

No one man is bigger than the club and the club should not be held to ransom. So it is commendable of the club to have been strong. If they offered a contract and it was rejected then they have stuck to their valuation until it's been met. In that sense it's good business especially if this has been going on since the summer.
Everyone can move on now and I'm hoping there can be a coming together and everyone can galvanise and be energised and motivated to keep MK Dons below us as they are six points behind (with a game in hand) and and push for an automatic promotion place.
The game against MK Dons at Meadow Lane on April Fools day is going to take on extra meaning now. By then we should have an idea where both clubs will finish as well as we will be in the thick of the business end of the season.

Yeah I totally get that. But I also dont blame footballers for looking after themselves financially. Loyalty in football does not exist past fans supporting their teams.
Look at some of the response to DC on this thread, even before that article became apparent. Been a good player for us and you would think hes been terrible the way some go on.
There's no denying he (was) one of the most important players for our promotion push.
However, if he wants to go...let him go.
I can't be bothered with passengers.
We have plenty of options in his position now with the 2 new signings and Grant.
He's been sucked away by the money at a plastic club. What a terrible choice!
Thanks Dan...but good riddance as well.
Not sure what there's not to like about Notts as a club.
Yeah, some fans are nobz but you get that everywhere
Hope MK stay in L2 and make a total mess of everything.
More gutted when Macca, Ruben, Ceds left.
Crowley couldn't even be bothered to make his own statement.
On the bright side Crowley has had the best form of his career with Notts.
We were his 12th(!) club. If the stats on Wikipedia are correct, he made more appearances for us than anyone else and scored more goals for us than he did for all the other teams put together.
We're a well run club and it's entirely possible he could revert to his Cheltenham or Morecambe form at MK Dons and tank there.
COYP!
So, we have 17 days to replace a key player in the midst of a promotion push - over to you, Notts.
Do we actually want promotion, or not? This transfer window will tell us a lot.
