And yes, selling to a promotion rival is a potential disaster. If him and Nemane fire MK to the final promotion spot and we're on the outside looking in, it won't be good moment for the club, that's for sure. However, someone asked about what the selling price would be a while back, for someone highly likely to leave for nothing in 4 months time. Well 300K would be over that mark I think, and if he wants to go it makes sense.

Finally, I don't think it's just about money. His tenure here took a strange turn, even had a strange start. His prior friendship with Bostock, and then Bostock not being extended and the very less than smooth change of management team. Plus his unusual, for a footballer, avowals of his christianity. No problem at all, honesty to be admired in fact, but an unusual thing to do for a pro footballer. Then there was the strange ear-cupping moment with the fans in the kop. Truth is he's bounced around a lot, and we forget that he's young. It's normal for 27-year olds to be still discovering themselves.

We're fans and the manner of the departure leaves a sour taste. For me he's done a Burchnall and left a great club for a smaller club. It was great watching you DC, but you're an ex-player and a rival now. Game on
It?s really not unusual for footballers to share their Christianity. There are many in the Premiership. Bostock started ?Ballers in God? which is growing. Saka, Allison, several at Crystal Palace.

    What can I say?
    Sneaky little arse?
    Seems about right!
Never mind all the "short career" "You would do the same" "Good luck and thank you" stuff. At the end of the day (I hate that phrase) he has been taking the pi55 out of the supporters who cheered him on. All the big smiles, hugs and kisses with SM when subbed was a finger in the socket!

I doubt it. There is something very different in moving to a team in a higher division to further your career as opposed to a promotion rival for a few quid. If it was money he was after you could argue he would have been better off playing his best football and letting his contract expire.

I suspect he is not going to get a very warm reception when he returns on 1st April. In fact I think his comments about the game over Christmas being an audition will have rubbed most Notts fans up the wrong way.

Pathetic. He?s only done what most posters on here would have done.

Probably but not in the way he has done it. Hope he gets what he deserves.

I'm afraid I can't really wish him well because he's still in the same division and at a promotion rival, that's the main difference compared to Ruben and Langstaff.

Sounds like several players were not very happy with Crowley. I've heard McGoldrick, Platt and Scott(although he's now gone) so far, no idea how true but I've seen Platt glare at Crowley a few times on the pitch when he wasted possession. More so than the usual

Ah well. Disappointing because really talented, but if a player wants out then best get rid. Turn the next page...

He will get a battering off the crowd, rightly or wrongly. Theres no real doubt about that.

And I would normally happily advocate our biggest centre half smashing the opponents best player early doors in any game and in any context. Its old school but its always a goer. That isnt DC specific.

I really dont blame DC for wanting to want more money. His career, his choice. If he can get a good pay rise, he should go for it.

I have said that on multiple occasions, on this thread and beyond.

Heartening to see your opinion on players out of academies has changed since the start of the season or are we changing to suit our own narrative?
