Iron Rod is now making the position his own! Great first half that blew away the opposition from all the team today. Meant we could rest some and get minutes into others. Yes performance went down in second half but clean sheet,3 goals, new lads bedded in and injured players getting up to speed. Perfect away day.

To add to my last comment, we?ve got 12 home games v 8 away games. I think overall we are in a strong position to push for the automatic slots.

I was stood next to some goon today who was still criticising SM at 3-0 up, I?m sure they don?t want Notts to lose but they desperately want SM to fail?.just to say they knew all along he would. Unbelievable.

Really enjoyed the day, have always had a soft spot for Accrington and finally got to get there today. Think they must have the nicest stewards in the league, and certainly some of the best fans.

Some "fans" have already decided he is not good enough and spout opinions based upon their preconceived opinions. If we get promoted it will be in spite of rather than because of his efforts

Agree, but plus he makes up so much ground to get into the position as well. No marker on him because he started so far back. All that plus how sweetly he struck it.

There was so much GA had to get right there - including, as you say, the sheer amount of ground he had to cover to be there at the precise moment. And of course, then there’s the perfectly delivered pass from Matty Palmer - both goal and assist of the season?

The home support has a big role to play here.

So 12 at home, 9 away. Other than Walsall no team is near 2 points/game, 92 for the season. So 49 more needed would I think guarantee automatics. Even 2 points per game going forward is another 42 giving 85 total. No major injuries, squad is getting better and maybe another couple of additions.

No play-offs please, I'm already on meds for heart condition.

Big worry is that under-pressure Spurs may see how well Georgie Boy is doing and take him back.
