A very good all round team performance yesterday. Players working for each other. No weak links, all played a part. If I had to pick one, Powell just edged it for MOM.
More of this please.
Excellent performance yesterday. As others have said the scoreline flattered them it ought to have been at least six.
That's what you get from playing mobile forwards. their movement and being able to play balls beyond defenders for fowards
to run onto gives the midfield options we haven't had all season. It's just a pity it took so long for the management team to
see it, if we all could why not them.
To a man they were all good today and Joe Powell was my MOM i have been a little disappointed in him until recently, he came
with a good name, now he is living upto it. He orchestrated a lot of the moves yesterday and some of the intricate little passing
between the players was a joy to watch and bamboozled their defence, which i may add has a good record this season i don't
know how as I thought they were very poor.
What I was pleased to see was the way the players celebrated the goals all together like a proper team who actually looked
pleased to be on the pitch together, we haven't seen much of that so far this season.
As others have said, strengthen the squad to cover injuries and form drops, get rid of the deadwood we have and we should be OK.
Tore Charlton apart yesterday. Their league position shows they are no pushovers, as aren't Bolton. 7-3 in successive matches. I'll also credit the manager for the turn around.
No danger of relegation, making the playoffs is probably out of reach, let's have a go at this trophy. Only Wrexham and Brum in our way, provided we put a strong side out against Bradford.
Just to remind you how important McWilliams has been to us this season ru66. He's been involved on 15 league games and 5 EFL trophy games and 1 carabou cup game
We have got 30 points in the league games he's been involved in. And won all 5 of the EFL games.
Not bad for a player your magic eye doesn't rate
To be fair to Evans i think he believed in JCH so much, even when it was obvious that he wasn't the player he was, he gambled on him coming good and being the 25 goal a season striker he thought he had recruited. I think that loyalty was misplaced and eventually when people were singing "sacked in the morning" he changed the system and that has come off. He does like to see himself as the tactical genius, yesterday he said again that the decision to play Green when Nombe was injured and the coaching staff went silent, well we should worry about our coaching staff if that is true because who else could play in this system, certainly not JCH or Hugill.
I think playing two teams in the bottom four will be interesting now, we can see if SE gets them focused and their minds right because they will not be easy games.
I think the recruitment team need so credit for identifying players like Jules, James and Powell. when was the last time we had a player as hard working and as skilful as Joe Powell.
