He definitely suffered from the manager who bought him being sacked only weeks after his arrival. As a result what must his head be like? To make matters worse he's sent to a struggling League One team and rarely even makes the matchday squad! Regardless of whether the rumours of his return are true, you have to worry as to whether his experiences have damaged him. We know he had lots of potential but maybe he left too early. In which case the problem is that we have less than half a season to consolidate a promotion place and so cannot afford to nurture someone into realising their potential.
Beyond all that, there is the matter of JKL. Surely with a week and a half of the window left, taking on CO'R would send a negative signal to Bristol City.
One 'positive' would be the opportunity to give Billington a National League loan to give him games instead of bench warming.
I am not sure it is a positive to be sending Billington out on loan. If that were to happen I imagine Billington will be looking for a move in the summer. And if they don't loan him out then we would have 6 centre halves on the books which is a luxury I am not sure we can afford.

O'Riordan is said to have been watching yesterday, when our existing CHs put in another good performance. Would this be a transfer back or a return loan, as the Cambridge one didn't work for him, do we know? If he comes in I guess they must think Connolly's out for a good while.

Signed on loan for the remainder of the season.

I was thinking it would be beneficial for Billington to be playing games rather than not be in the picture to play.
Also, don't we have 7 centre halves now that CO'R has arrived, including Robinson.

There will be more than 7 but I was referring to 6 "front line" Centre Halves. A number that is excessive by anyones standards and you can't keep 'em all happy. Feel a bit for Billington because if they are bringing someone else in I guess they don't rate him so highly. Unless, of course, they see him as a full back!!

....and now the rumour has it of another returnee! This one left in controversial circumstances, albeit in a struggle with the then manager. He had a bit more sympathy from the fans compared to his diminutive mate who, I think, wouldn't be welcome.

So no news yet about this but Tyler Birtles is one source and the Railwaymen Review another.
Must admit until outtolunch said "wait and see", I hadn't expected any business during this window except the confirmation that the loanees were staying.

Apparently MK Dons have put in two bids for Demetriou. Not sure he would want to go there other than for the money.
