We could play him in a front two alongside Jatta, with McG behind. Alternatively, he could battle it out with Jatta for the starting role.
At the moment, Jatta is pretty much undroppable, not only because he's quality, but also because we have nobody to replace him with. With Macca in the squad, we could rest Jatta from time to time or bring him off after 70 mins without significantly weakening our goal-scoring threat.
Do all fans obsess about former players like we do ? It's ridiculous. The guy has moved on, we have moved on. Even if he gets a loan how does coming back to Meadow Lane help his development with his new club ? Can you think of any other newly signed Championship striker who would be touted for a loan in L2 ? If he doesn't fit for the new Millwall management team they will sell him or get his substantial wages paid somewhere, not Notts.
Not for me. Loved him to bits, but that ship has sailed, for now. Getting Etete back here on loan would be very good business though.
We could be looking dosnthe wrong rod here
It coud be we are looking at Kion Etete.
A sideways step at best to have him back. The attack at all costs (because we can't defend) days are gone along with LW. ML isn't a patch on AJ when it gets physical, ML can't climb and head a ball and he certainly doesn't cover the ground like AJ. ML and AJ together would be a luxury that isn't worth it's cost.
ML's days at Notts are gone.
Much as I love and respect Macca I don't think it would be in Notts best interests at the moment.
A victim of the style of play at Millwall no creative football and wouldn't do well at Wrexham either playing hoofball!
We're watching some good football at the moment which is working well for Didzy and AJ.
Macca wouldn't want to sit on the bench and anyway not VFM in financial terms.
Notts need a third back up striker whoever ticks the boxes but IMO it shouldn't be Etete.
