Oz, thanks for correcting on debt. It's $356k per taxpayer. We have a lot of citizens that don't pay any taxes as you can see from the difference in debt per citizen vs taxpayer. We also have 24,700,000 government workers. Many could be eliminated with little or no impact on our everyday lives. In fact, many of us would enjoy a better quality of life without them. Trump is making them go back to work so we can only hope their lifes become as miserable as they make ours. Many have not reported into an office since covid began.

Not sure on your debt statement. I think the Chinese own a whole lot of our debt. Not sure how you find out what percentage they have.

PS- FWIW, I think every citizen in the US should have to pay taxes. Even if they receive welfare, housing, food stamps and free utilities they should have to file and pay taxes. even it's just a $100. they need to experience the joy of trying to file taxes and if there are issues interact with the federal government. Let them experience the value they receive for paying them trillions of dollars. If they can't get it fixed let them experience the joy of trying to reach their representative or interact with the court system.
