    As for the penalty, arms in front of the body ball hits both square on, WTF
    I didn't even know there was a var check on the goal? Maybe too busy celebrating but I didn't see or hear anything about a var check. As for the penalty, yeah it was never gonna be given because his arms weren't in an unnatural position and were in tight to his body, if you removed his arms altogether it hits him square in the chest, no pen I'm afraid.

    Yeah, it's was never a penalty, at no point did he use his arms to make his shape bigger. Stuff like that is what VAR is for.

    Norwegian League votes to get rid of VAR, sounds good to me, waste of bloody money especially when it's the same **** officials using it https://www.theguardian.com/football...fter-club-vote

    Would love it to be voted out in Scottish football. Every game now there is frustration in not only the decision making but the time taken to make them.
    The officials here in particular are over scrupulous in using it. That along with them not knowing their arse from their elbow is a horrible combination. Inventing ridiculous reasons to award handballs/penalties and on the other hand desperately looking to chalk off goals.
    It's so farcical, it reminds me of the times my gran was trying to work the old VHS player.
    Can clubs not make a stand and refuse to pay for the "privilege" of using it at their ground?

    end of day it's just another ref watching replay footage over and over again it should be a split second decision by ref and if he makes a mistake then tough 💩 there will just be threads saying ref is blind depending on who gets the crap decision.

    We have (not just us) put up with bad ref calls for years , frustrating as fcuk but..... VAR is making things even worse, and, it is sookin' the excitement out of the game. Now more fowk are involved in the "incident/s" and, it's taking ages to clarify some situations. Then watching pundits agree ,or disagree about whether it wiz or wiznae.... Then hearing what the 5 person panel has to say about it etc, etc... It is BORING as FCUK, from start to finish... (Mon the Norwiegians)

    I completely agree, VAR is an absolute bore. Last night PSG got a goal ruled out as the fella's knee was judged to be offside. Absolute *******s.

    Since the St Mirren home game with the big outcry by weegie media and Sportscene (intimating that we were fortunate with VAR calls) We've had;

    Killie (h) injury time penalty given to them in a very similar circumstance to the "soft" one we got against St Mirren (cost us 2 points)

    Motherwell (a) clear handball in buildup to their match winning goal (no VAR check)

    Dundee (a) penalty given for a handball when it hit Holt's head first and debatable if he even knew anything about it

    Yesterday a contentious challenge on Walton for their goal and a penalty claim for us with a handball very similar to the one given against Holt in the derby (no VAR check on either)

    Only the derby call didn't have a bearing on the final result, all the rest cost us points.
    Not a sound from the media
    Coincidence? Aye right! I'm sure it will be easy to add plenty to this before the end of season.
    Get VAR chucked in the bin and the media with their selective scrutiny as well.
