I agree with you. Completely normal and natural weather cycles.

We get flooding not because there's more rain but because waterways, drains, ditches etc. are no longer properly maintained and because of the insistence on building housing on flood plains without proper thought to where that water will go. It goes into waterways that are no longer properly maintained of course.

Climate change? No. Common sense? No. Just bad planning.
