From this week, the prediction League will be using AI software to compile the scores from a txt dump of all pages in this thread instead of me inputting them manually.

Three things to avoid if you want your score to be correct....

    1. Don't quote a previous post without giving your own score, the AI will assume the quoted score is your own if there isn't one entered after it

    2. Don't use nicknames - ie "Lillywhites" won't be recognised but "Bromley" will be.

    3. Entering the score only is fine, ie 2-1, but it will assume 2-1 to Notts whether we're playing at home or away unless it's qualified otherwise.
It should work out the correct score if you type "Notts lose 1-2" or "we lose 1-2" or "Us 1 Them 2"

Will it recognise my prediction if I say Notts loose 2-1? Have I mucked things up with my first prediction by posting again on this thread? 🤣

BTW UTM great job as always 👍

It shouldn't as the grammatical module will fail due to the correct spelling of a wrong word.

I've told it to only accept the first post by any given user that includes a score and to ignore any subsequent posts.
It has just registered Old_Pie as predicting 2-1 though after he replied to your post, that's because whilst the raw text does include 'Quote' to begin that body of the post, there's nothing to indicate where the quote ends and the new post starts.

And this is of course the problem with AI - indeed it is artificial but the "I" bit is still pretty dumb.

Isn't machine learning supposed to gain an understanding of human usage?
