What’s funny, although in the circumstances that’s an entirely inappropriate word, is the way in which you shapeshift and deflect when you’re losing the argument.

On 29th October you wrote ‘So it was another Islam motivated crime then?’

Later the same day you added, ‘It is Islamic terrorism and the government/Police decided to hush it up.’

On 30th October you concluded, ‘that the rioters weren’t that far wrong in their anger…’

No, it wasn’t, it was the crazed and undeniably evil actions of a seriously maladjusted adolescent.

Tricky, how many times do you have to have it explained?

Rudakubana had been referred to counter-extremism three times, ALL obviously under the previous government and each time he was NOT viewed as a terrorist threat.

Could the police and new PM - he’d been in post for three weeks - have communicated better? Possibly but they were constrained by the ‘contempt’ laws and an understandable reluctance to jeopardise the court case which was dealt with as ‘successfully’ as possible last week.

In conclusion this was the ‘work’ of a sick, sad loner with no hope and no appropriate role model in his life. Like all such massacres, this was as sad and tragic as it gets however there was no conspiracy. Jenrick, Farage, amongst others including yourself, were wrong to make their incendiary comments and the rioting was nothing other than totally destructive and,as the judge observed, ‘idiotic’.
