Suppose to have worked wonders but didn't for me, perhaps I should have drunk more Guiness as they say it was good for me.

Trivia: The Bass Red Triangle is the UK's oldest trademark.

And it?s still hard to beat a good pint of well kept Bass on draft.

As much none ales as Carling. Seems he?s not one of the beardy weirdy types!

Today confirmed that it will be Jay IPA - at 5.2% a bit strong for my liking, so I better take it steady (or more likely leave and return to the brewery after one and a pizza.)
I'm talking Worthingtons pre 1970 when beer was beer before it was turned to cheap pi55..

Fair point. I was only 8 in 1970 so don?t have a lot to base my opinion on. By the time I was 18 though Wortthingtons was definitely p**s. However I had a taste (and bowel) for Shippos by then so my judgement likely flawed then too.

Worthington E was a great drink back in the day like Smiffy said. I liked a Home Ale Mild back then too

Also have semi regular deliveries of Belgian tripels, dubels and quads. Many on the strong side, so definitely sippers, but knock piss like madri and carlsberg out of the park.

Ill give that Jay a go in the nest but supping out of a plastic glass is never that enticing a prospect.
    Try Adventure Beer.

My old man would always have a pint of 'mixed' (half a bitter with half a mild) which I doubt that anybody does now.

Abbott is definitely a real ale, the brand is Greene (or Greedy as we call them round here) King.
