    Newcastle Brown or Mackeson used to be a choice to mix with either a half of mild or a bitter in my younger days.

    I was a bitter drinker, never tempted by 'mixed' of any kind unless you count the old 'snakebite'. I remember an old bar in Nottm, think it was 'Worrow's' where they would impose a two pint maximum for snakebite as it reputedly got people scrapping.

    I detested lager all my life and hated it when I had to live in London and consume the flat, bilge they call bitter which actually, forced me to drink lager.

    Yes, half a dozen pints of snakebite would get you rocking

    Remember the, here comes the Ansells bitter men, advert, one where the hard guys push their way to the bar, can't find it anywhere on the net, probably the woke folk have cancelled them 😁
