The Dabs ground sharing at Campy Nou would cause traffic chaos on the Kingsway every week during the season instead of once every two weeks if only Dundee FC play their home games there.
It is a pity that there was no report of the event on the Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce website as it would be interesting to know if Nelms explained how he was going to source the funding for the reported ?95 million cost of his project. Perhaps he has a ‘magic money tree’.
Not sure that the entrenched rights would be effective in stopping a move from Dens.
At my first Dee4life board of directors meeting in May 2018 as a non voting guest the Dee4life secretary read out a letter he had received from John Nelms which stated that I (John Nelms) know that Dee4life can block a move away from Dens Park under the entrenched rights of the A shares but I (John Nelms) hope that the Dee4life board of directors can give their blessing in principle to this move.
Therefore John Nelms knew about the entrenched rights of the A shares as far back as May 2018 and they are there to be used if need be.
No problem at all with John Nelms asking for support for a move away from Dens. Don't think the Board of Dee4life could agree to his request. Let's wait and see how the new stadium progresses.Be a pity if Dee4life conceded the principle of not trying to enforce the entrenched rights before the process for building the new stadium was confirmed.
I doubt if the new stadium will be built in my lifetime by Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited.
I would not be surprised to see the Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited Directors try to sell the site if they manage to get full planning permission. The For Sale sign is still situated at the entrance to the new stadium development site.
DFC will be tenants of the new stadium with a lease similar to the one they have a present with Sandeman Properties Limited.
They will pay an annual rent plus they will be responsible for all repairs and improvements.
If the site is sold to a private equity company then it is likely that the owners of the private equity company will want their outlay to be repaid as soon as possible which would mean a higher annual rent than at present.
Fast approaching the initial D day.......if Nelmsy has produced required documentation.
Now when I started this thread I wondered if they would have applied for planning permission before Nelmsy stated playing in date......I thought ach dinnae be daft......no much time between March and August.....though.

I remember at one of the Dee4life meetings in 2018/19 there was a discussion about the new stadium development and the transport problems accessing the stadium car parks before the game and particularly exiting the car parks after the end of the game.
The solution was to be a flyover the A90 Kingsway from the new stadium car parks which from memory was going to cost ?20 million.
I said that houses in the Dryburgh housing estate would probably have to be compulsorily purchased to make room for the flyover.
That was the last we heard about the flyover solution.
