Whilst only on for half an hour or so, I thought he looked very composed on the ball. Did nothing wrong and fitted in well with a string of decent passes and movement. Thereafter produced a couple of tremendous long balls. Clearly very, very, early days, but an excellent debut.

Amazing how we signed someone so young. Still quite shocked by that. I believe he was influenced by the ex Northern Irish brigade. Quite profound how the Irish both north and south have had an impact on this club over the years...

He looked comfortable and appeared to fit in well given the short time he has had with the club. As Prando said, the long balls were sublime. He looks as though he has a lot to offer and it was a good game to get him some match time. As Dubbag stated, it’s reassuring to see us sign a young player and for the Head Coach to utilise him immediately.

In his post match interview the boss made it quite clear that he picks teams to match the opponents on the day, which means the side will naturally rotate to meet the challenge. I like that as it gives a heads up to all that this is a team pick and nobody is guaranteed a game EVERY week.
