I'm sure the countless thousands of Gazans now homeless, and the relatives of the countless thousands of Gazans killed in the last 15 months, will tonight be joyfully celebrating Hamas's hands down victory in the propaganda war.
In the real world, the IDF won the real war, hands down.
Hamas is a paramilitary terrorist organization it has a large and advanced arsenal of weapons from various sources and has been equipped with tens of thousands of light weapons, such as Kalashnikov assault rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns, and large amounts of grenades, IEDs, and explosive devices. An armed conflict between Israel and Hamas-led Palestinian militant groups has been taking place in the Gaza Strip and Israel since 7 October 2023. It is the fifth war since 2008 in the Gaza–Israel conflict, and the most significant military engagement in the region since the Yom Kippur War in 1973.
The former head of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, had resided in Doha since 2016 until his death in 2024. Qatar has been called Hamas' most important financial backer and foreign ally. Crude oil production is at approximately 1.746 million barrels per day, making Qatar one of the top 15 oil exporting countries and one of the world's major fertilizer producers.
''A rag tag army of rag heads, eh? (being backed by Qatar!!'')
( On 31 July 2024, Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, was assassinated along with his personal bodyguard in the Iranian capital Tehran by an Israeli attack. )
God knows how many thousands have been killed in Gaza, the place, as you have already mentioned, is virtually destroyed, the hospitals, so we're told, have ceased to function, schools and mosques have been flattened, there is no food, people are starving.
If this is what victory looks like, God help them should they ever lose.
The Donald, bringing peace to the Middle East, as promised.
"Iran has ordered its proxy forces across the Middle East to exercise caution as the Islamic Republic fears an existential threat following Donald Trump’s return to the White House, Officials have told commanders of Iran-backed militias to avoid provocative actions that could escalate regional tensions. Commanders have also been instructed to maintain defensive positions while avoiding any actions that could be interpreted as aggressive by US forces or regional allies."

One of the most significant factors contributing to Turkey's potential threat to Israel is its close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood (M, a Sunni Islamist movement founded in Egypt in 1928. The Muslim Brotherhood advocates for the establishment of an Islamic caliphate, based on the interpretation of Islamic law, and has historically been hostile to Israel’s existence.
The Brotherhood’s ideology is fundamentally opposed to the Jewish state, viewing Israel as an occupier of Muslim lands, and has historically called for its destruction. While Iran’s threat to Israel is largely military and focused on the nuclear issue, Turkey’s connection with the Muslim Brotherhood represents a deeper, ideological challenge. This is particularly concerning as Turkey uses its political and military clout to spread MB-affiliated ideologies throughout the Arab world, which could destabilize the region further and create more hostile environments for Israel.
