As far as the stated attendance goes there will, as you say, be no non attending season ticket holder's to count in the crowd. The real thing that affects crowd numbers in cup ties is the simple fact that season's are not valid as they were in the past, certainly in the 60s, but when the current situation started I can't remember. Many having bought a season don't want to fork out any price to see a cup tie. Talking of the 60s and perhaps even after then crowd figures were largely estimated, either a ball park figure given out by the club or an educated guess by the press and usually a round figure. The club don't have to issue any figure at all if they so wish. They only have to share matchday financials with the other club in cup ties and in this case the SFA.
No concessions for middle aged adults and there can be no abuse......simple.
