The club really is miles behind the curve on its treatment of its fans, especially younger fans, and the re-introduction of the JDB would help address that. However it would mean some admin work and possibly having to hire someone to do it which is costly. Whilst not knocking the 5,000 GBP offered by D4L it wouldn't touch the sides and DSA are just deluded if they think it could be done cheaply because memberships would need to cover costs of employing someone to manage it and that's before any events are paid for. if there were 2,000 members paying 20 GBP PA for example it would bring in 40,000 GBP which would just about cover a full time salary and leave very little to arrange events or arrange membership paraphernalia. Reality is there might be 500 to 700 members and that's probably being very ambitious. There would be massive financial holes that the club would need to fill and they're clearly not willing to do that.

What do you think would be a reasonable membership fee for a JDB club? Maybe the club adds something to season tickets to pay for it thus reducing season ticket sales?
I enclose details about the Dunfermline FC Junior Pars membership which costs ?30 (Thirty Pounds) per annum. https://parsfoundation.co.uk/story.p...efits_&ID=2362
I have friend whose grandson is a member of the Junior Pars and he told me that the Young Pars club is well organised and well worth the membership fee.
Why do the Club have to employ a person to run the JDB.
A volunteer previously ran the Junior Dark Blues.

I'd suspend online season ticket sales for OAPs next season and require personal attendance with proof of age for renewal. If Joe Bloggs bounces in at age 65 and with 25 years' record of having an OAP ticket I'd report him to the relevant authorities for fraud and look to have the outstanding amount paid by him. But then I'm just a total **** like that.
I know a Dundee season ticket holder who had purchased an Under 12 season ticket for his grandson who was 8 year old at time with no request for documentary evidence that he qualified to purchase an Under 12 season ticket.
The following year my friend was asked to provide evidence that his grandson was under 12 years. Fortunately his grandson had a passport which proved that he was under 12 years old.
The first time I purchased a ticket for a home game at Dens Park I was asked for my date of birth which proved that I qualified to purchase a OAP season ticket.
After this afternoon?s debacle against Hearts ticket sales for next Saturday?s home game will drop like a stone especially as Airdrie have started winning games.

Then why don't you volunteer to do it?

I'd volunteer but **** doing a thankless task like that for nothing.

    I am too old.
However John Nelms refuses to have anything to do with Dee4life resulting in his message boy stating at the Dee4life AGM in November 2023 that John Nelms hates Dee4life.

The last time we played Airdrie at home in the Scottish Cup in November 2022 it was 2-2 after 90 minutes and we won in extra time thanks to Airdrie having a player sent off and them running out of steam.
