League 2 clubs are allowed 22 players over 21 (excluding goalkeepers) on 1st January.
We currently have just 17. One of whom is out for the season. Another who is out for at least another month. And one we have no idea about.
The rest is made up of youngsters (loans mostly), one of whom is very good. And 2 or 3 who might turn out OK but senior players bring experience.
We need backups, particularly up front.
The bench looked weak today.
Still 2 days to go before the window shuts!

They’ve now lost five in a row, I think. They’re still closer to the playoffs than the relegation zone, but it highlights what a tough league L1 is.

Ahhh I?d got it at 19 but must have been a couple who turned 22 since the 1st. It would be good if we can get a couple in, 100% agree we need a striker else it?s a massive risk, we have to assume the clubs doing everything in its power to do so.

He got us back into the EFL and for that we should all be hugely grateful.

L2 might just be a level too high for him
Of course he was great in the NL but you can get away with lapses of concentration more often there
Baldwin is exactly the same
The opposition in the NL usually have the same type of defenders in their ranks allowing our forwards to make up for it

They?ve now lost five in a row, I think. They?re still closer to the playoffs than the relegation zone, but it highlights what a tough league L1 is.

It seems like the crest of the promotion wave may have come to an end for Mansfield? Wrexham and Stockport still going strong. It also highlights that when we do get promoted whenever that maybe (hopefully this season) that we have got to be good enough to hold our own at League One level first and foremost and avoid getting sucked into a relegation battle. It's key to keep the upwards momentum as we've had in the nearly six seasons under the brothers.

The worst thing that can happen is for us to get promoted and struggle and come straight back down much like Forest Green did as it can set clubs back. Carlisle are another example have been relegated from League One and are currently staring down the barrel of double relegation to the National League. They do have time to turn it around though now they have Mike Williamson and a load of new players.

Don't think many how hugely lucky we are to have a player like Didzy with all his quality who CHOSE to come back and end his career with us? He is still easily a league above us but just wants to be here, real Roy of the Rovers stuff.

Think only Mapperley put him in as club legend, think he is putting himself there.
