Question Are we going totally nuts...

"A leaked report from 2023 produced by a team at the Home Office has suggested that watching programmes such as Michael Portillo's, Great British Railway Journeys, could be a sign of far-right activity."

Clearly we are employing way too many civil servants.

Portillo has rediscovered himself, I thought he was a plonker as a politician but as the advocate of the Bradshaw guide he is a star.

His railway journeys are a delight. I loved his travels through Spain. He's a cherished institution, leave the dude alone.

BT ,I agree with you. We?ve watched every single programme he?s made, and visited several of the places of interest he?s visited , making these programmes , both here and abroad. I e mailed him a couple of years ago ,to tell him just that, and he replied, thanking me for my interest, and telling me what would be happening in upcoming programmes, that he?d just finished.
I just love trains, and growing up we lived close to two important railway lines. The main one was Cardiff to Swansea, and at the rear of our house , a line from Cardiff which went north towards Pontypridd and Merthyr ,and the Valleys. Even now, at my age, I still get excited about going on a train journey. I don?t suppose it ever leaves you. I?m sure that like me, many people would have a story to tell.

You have hit the nail on the head there BT. Michael Portillo consistently presents interesting programmes relating to his railway journeys in so many countries and does not push any other agenda apart from encouraging viewers to give it a go which malwayne and myself have done.
