I doubt we would have been so active if doubts at a higher level about the manager.

We just all need to hope that our results start to improve.
Yeah, thats my read on it too.

It was right to suggest wed know a lot about where Cormack is re backing Thelin by what happened at the end of the window - well weve got our answer.

I would have ideally liked us to strengthen the middle of the park, but i guess you cant do everything in one go.

The joot boy Camerons done a Barron & screwed his long term career for short term cash so fuuck him - away & rot on the sevco bench son.

Defence strengthened (hopefully) with left sided CH in, more options added up top, 2 bits of the deadwood shifted out - lets hope its enough to turn this shiitshow around.

Adam Emslie has been recalled from his loan spell with Cove Rangers.

The 19-year-old winger joined Cove in the summer of 2024 and has made a positive impact at the Balmoral Stadium, scoring 6 goals in 24 appearances.
Solution to problematic right wing? Surely have to give him minutes if we’ve recalled him? Hmm.

Proof is in the pudding obviously but far more movement than I anticipated
3 moved on (and I suspect McGrath might also have left if not injured) is better than I hoped for.

More loans unfortunately but at least 3 have option to buy.

Still light up front but I hope with Gueye playing the free role behind things gets better in the final third.
Whatever transpires though we have to stick with players. Ambrose/Nisbet both poor in different ways but the chopping and changing cant help them.

Give Dabbagh/Gueye a chance to gain an understanding.

As mooted Akindileni confirmed away, shame that nowadays we don?t even get to see these guys in the first team before they leave.

Would be good to see him given a chance.

I know its only Paul Hartley but he has been saying that Emslie is ready to play in our first team.

psst: but he is only 19.

But anyway my philosophy is quite simple.
If they are good enough then they are old enough.

Welcome back loon and all the best

Someone on the hat posted about speaking to the Dad of Lewis Carroll and being told that a pathway into the first team was the main reason for leaving.

Believes if he fails at Forest then he can still have a decent career in England at lower level whereas is he fails at Aberdeen he likely ends up at Cove or Peterhead.

You can't argue with that really. I suppose the financial side of things is superior too.

I worked with a close relative of Jack Grimmer and he has done alright for himself down in England.

Quite a few clubs up here lost young prospects to England during this recent window, which possibly suggests something needs doing to try and stop it.

Aye another impact of PSR rules down South. They’re gambling more on youth. We can expect it to continue now.
I get why they’ve brought them in but the circumvention (ridiculously long contracts and inflated prices between related clubs) makes them a mockery. There were some very suspicious moves again this window. The whole shebang needs revised.

Anyway back to Aberdeen. Likewise understand the family’s POV. Been main disappointment of JT so far.
I understand not throwing kids in when we’re on a bad run but there were opportunities at start of season.

I'm the opposite. A youngster can be thrown in and ignite a team when the chips are down.

I would certainly have thrown Boyd into the team in recent weeks. Even only from the bench when looking for a goal (I ken he's nae a striker, but attack minded). He really couldn't have done any worse than some of our first picks.

I don't think youth will play a part in the Thelin revolution, but I hope I am very wrong.
