According to SM, Mai's visa/work permit process is going smoothly and he is in London today and hopefully in training with us next week.
This is important and it's key and hopefully people will bear this in mind. This is where I think the club have it right by bringing in players from abroad in the January transfer window. It gives the player six months to adjust to life in another country and settle into the club and also means they can be bedded into the team in the current season all before the next season starts in August.
When Ruben came to the club it was not only in the summer, but it was the middle of the covid pandemic. So it was amplified being in another country away from friends and family and not being able to properly mix or socialise with people here either.

Jatta rarely scored before joining us too - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alassana_Jatta
Just as with any striker, it will be key, to identify and play to his strengths which is what Millwall have not done with Macca.
Mai Traore arrived in Nottingham this afternoon having secured his visa and received international clearance. He'll be introduced to the crowd shortly before kick-off tomorrow.
