I enclose details of the presentation by John Nelms to the Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday 15th January 2025 which states that the event sponsor was Dundee FC. https://www.dundeeandanguschamber.co...tball-stadium-
In my opinion the event sponsor should have been Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited as they have submitted the planning application for their new stadium development at Campy Nou and they should have been paying for the cost of the presentation not Dundee Football Club.

I think we need a combination of age and experience to help the younger players to develop. TD needs backing from the fans to help him win this discussion with the DFC Board. Putting the sole responsibility on either TD or our BOD doesn't solve this problem.

I think TD's best justification for bringing in a player is if the player fills a role that even fans can see is required. Big lump to play up top with Murray, a competent defence that can play 4 at the back, and a midfield most of whom can track back to help the defence.

Disagree. DFC as sponsor is correct branding for the event. Seems OK to me if they also pick up the tab.

Do you think that the members of the Dundee And Angus Chamber Of Commerce were entirely unaware that it was it was DBPH and not Dundee FC that were funding the project?

    Seriously?

Hope you don't mind me joining this conversation. It does not appear to be possible to produce evidence of funding for the stadium, until the planning permission is given. That's what we need to watch, imo, and when the decision is made, that's when we need to pay particular attention to any conditions.
Who owns what, and who knows who owns what, seems to me to be missing the point. Our club's owners are trying to build us a new stadium, and that's all we really know.

I'm not going to criticize Docherty too much just yet though as I think he's been put in an impossible position by John Nelms. These tie ins with other clubs just don't seem to be benefitting us right now and maybe if Docherty had free reign to sign players without the need to keep those other clubs happy it would be different?

The tie ins with these other clubs is John Nelms' doing and that makes him culpable for tying Docherty's hands. Docherty preps the players, decides the formation and (right now) isn't getting the best out of a squad that hasn't really done too badly prior to the last two games.
I certainly suspect the same regarding Nelms. He loves a 'project'. Playing so many youngsters is lunacy and I cannot believe that Docherty is responsible for this strategy. It stinks of interference. Nelms insisted on selling McCowan, knowing full well that he could not be replaced in time. We have suffered ever since, and we get young untried players instead of the experience that we are lacking in midfield.
