    Mick Walker was manager when I went to my first Notts game at home against Sunderland on the last day of the 92/93 season and we beat them 3-1 and stayed up in the second tier.

    A true club great from the late 80's / early 90's golden era.

    i remember that game - didnt sunderland invade the pitch and smash goal post in half, before police horses came on

    You may well be right it's come to mind now you mention it. Perhaps others can confirm.

    Here are the goals that day. Some crackers from Notts and I love it where the commentator says Notts were playing like AC Milan. If just those brief clips of what it was like under Mick Walker then I can see why people say it was the best football under him.
