Wales equalised in the second minute of added time and were celebrating, however, Wout scored the winner in the 4th minute of added time and Roberts went off on one, which he has been seen to do on several occasions in his time at Burnley.
The return match was 13 June 2022, the Netherlands won 3-2 and Wout didn't even bother playing.

To say he did not want to be at Burnley from the start is pure conjecture because he started every game until the last three and never feigned injury. He has played in 506 competitive games since his first appearance for Heracles on 9 August 2014, two days after his 22nd birthday.

Compare with Ashley Barnes who has played in 506 competitive games since his established first season at Brighton in August 2010

Wout has scored 155 goals and Ashley has scored 121. Both players are good professionals who have done their job. Both have different skill levels and one has represented his country at full International level, the other played 1 match at Under 20 level.
Personally, I like them both but feel that Wout came into a team not playing well and who had been shaken by the loss of their leading goalscorer to another team fighting relegation. He was criticised for missing a big chance, however, in order to miss you have to get yourself in a position to score and he never shirked that responsibility.

Just to get back on track, how many games has Tresor played?
The manager of the Netherlands told Weghorst that if he was not playing in the Premier League he would not be selected for the world cup squad. This to me was nonsense as the Championship is a far better league than some of the other countries top leagues. As it is every player’s dream to be in a world cup squad the chairman and club agreed to him being loaned out, which was a good gesture on their part.
Once he returned some supporters were constantly booing him, which was deplorable to do that to your own team, proving that they were not true supporters of Burnley FC. Yet they could have criticised him on a web site or social media but definitely not booing him during a match.
In the case of Nathan Tella, he gave an interview saying he expected to be a Burnley player in that Premier League season but the club was unable to negotiate the sale with Southampton. It was reported that BFC offered around the same as Leverkusen but Southampton accepted their offer over that of BFC.
One has to wonder if the BFC chairman’s daughter had p1$$ed off the Southampton board with her publicity stunt.

When the Saints enquired about Benson and we said 15 million is what got on their goat.
