Mon the Buddies.
St Mirren should have been out of sight based on chances in the first half.
I dont watch a lot of Scottish football games that dont involve Aberdeen but watched the game last night because the cup draw was on after it.
The standard of Scottish football is terrible if that is supposed to be 2 of the better sides and it makes it even more alarming that we have gone 14 games without a win in the league if thats the quality of teams we are up against.
It was brutal but the issue we have is if we had played either of those teams last night we would have been bullied. Pitch was shocking and we would have tried to play nice football and lost possession and get caught out by the long straight ball or done at set pieces
My biggest concern with the team right now is we need physical players that can compete but also play football- I think we have some decent passers of the ball and some that have pace to go past players but still feel we lack physicality.
And that is where Scottish league focusses on
Angus MacDonald doing a better job at Exeter v Forest. Josher still going strong as well. Should this have been in the ExDons thread? Possibly but the FA cup is a diddy cup
Tims beaten 2-1 by Bayern Munich.
Imagine losing at home to them.
I agree and laugh when folk keep using the excuse of a financial gap.
Players get paid more because they are better because they work harder and are more professional. The best teams work much harder than anyone else and reap the rewards because they do more in depth work.
You only needed to see how we ourselves struggled for results in the league (and still are)?.we as a team and individuals don?t work hard enough on the game.
Another excuse people use is a lack of confidence. I could go on but will spare you all a rant.
Bayern Munich work harder than Celtic and their players are a step above because of it.
Harder work equals better results.
Are you seriously suggesting the financial gap doesn't come into it?
Celtic can't compete bringing in players of the calibre at Bayern. Just like we can't compete against who Celtic buy.
My point was Celtic greet about the financial gap between them and the really big clubs or teams that play in richer leagues, whilst conveniently forgetting the financial gap between Celtic and the other teams in Scotland is even bigger and that now includes the tribute act.
Most of the Celtic team would struggle to get a game for Bayern, whilst most of our squad would struggle to play for Celtic.
Most of our squad would struggle to play for Brechin
