Known Brecks over 53 years and like you say, an excellent ambassador for the club, town and Hospice but, you?re forgetting he too left our club when he went with Mark Robins to Barnsley cos the pay was better.

Nobody on here knows what's going on here proved that the last transfer window. It's guesswork looking forward. SE needs to have strong finish to the season to be certain of still being the manager here at the end of it. TS he's a business man anything other then he won't to lose most of the season ticket holders he's got.

The main reason it won't happen is SE & TS relationship, SE likes the limelight and TS is happy for him to have it, deflecting away from the backroom issues at the club.
I believe that is more important to TS at the moment than on pitch success. As long as SE keeps us in midtable in L1 he will be manager next season if he still wants it.
Evans like a lot of player turnover, and there will be a lot this summer with a lot of contracts ending so he will be allowed to do some business, but with key players like Powell going into his last year of contract we will have all of the Odoffin fiasco debate about Powell etc again. SE is very good at talking to the press about such enormous screw-ups.
Remember all he has to do next season is not lose in the cups to L2 (or lower) clubs and get us in the Top 10 and it will be an improvement on this season, if he can do that on a lower budget than this then TS will love him forever.
I doubt if TS will love the season ticket renewals though.

But nether returned with anything to do with the running of the football side of the club. He was Robins assistant here so he didn't know who'd be the next manager at Roth U whoever it was to be might have wanted to bring his own men in so he went where there was a job for him at Barnsley.

So you never left anywhere for a better-paid job? You still delivering papers then?

Was the best thing to happen to the Millers since Ronnie coming back, raised the profile of the club and the town without being a d*ckhead.
I thought the timing of his departure was bit odd(Best start to a Championship season for decades),and unlike some on here I don`t actually "Know" the reason why,but my guess would as simply as a great opportunity to manage a bigger club with better prospects and bigger wages, maybe he thought it might not come along again,as I suspect he doesn`t think he`s the best manager in the country.
Obviously his record in the Champ is poor, but then again not many have owt with us at that level, and he did have 3 promotions and a cup win, which is some record by any standard.
It would be worth him coming back just to see Gru & Grist spontaneously combust.

    Complete agreement.
I think the whole Div2 record can be summed up in this way:
Sorry to hear about your leg Mr Silver, and to tell you that we have to remove the other too; but we will give you a furniture caster. You face Usain Bolt next Wednesday.

Of course, but neither did I have conspiracy theorists making up sinister reasons as to why I jumped ship.
