because he is putting the interests of USA first. because he is tackling the Southern border/ immigration crisis because he is tackling government bureaucracy because he is tackling "wokery"and wasteful goverrnment spending. And because the other lot were just so bad
That a good enough set of reasons?
BTW If only this Labout government had a similar set of priorities

There is only one reason why Trump and Putin get on and that is that they are both narcissistic criminals who both should be behind bars. Trump is now backing those two scum bags, the Tate brothers. I think that says it all! Why any nation would want a leader with such low morals and a convicted felon is beyond belief.

He says a lot of things. I saw him sign off a bill bringing back plastic straws. The ultimate ?I?m in for 4 years, I?ll give people what they want but f*ck who has to deal with it later? politician.

He lacks courage as a leader to go beyond populism and towards leading a country to better times. He won?t even stand up to Putin. Consequentially this makes him a shocking leader.

The only thing I will agree with you on is the other lot being bad. Bidens tenure proved to be one of the most unpopular in modern times.

    Cool

The simple answer to the question of why Americans voted for a total fruitcake like Trump is they wanted change and he has promised them change. He made promises to make America and its people strong.

Unfortunately, to do that he is having to make America unpopular with European countries, China and others, I would hasten a guess. He is also now having to bow down to Putins demands. Why, well simply to make himself look big. Putin will look at Trump and see him as a weak little individual full of bluster and little else. Putin will take advantage of the new coward on the block, the new President of a fickle American nation. As such, he will show no respect for the tango skinned coloured, yellow haired buffoon.

The question for the American people and their stupid leader is this. Which countries are the strongest in military terms. Without looking it up, I would suggest the USA, China and Russia. If Trump kicks Europe in the rear end, where does that leave America? I would suggest in an extremely weakened position. Because the next question is who wants to rule the world in the way they see it should be ruled and do whatever is necessary to do that, not bothering with human rights or the rules of engagement. Russia, China, North Korea and a few others.

Once Europe is at the will of Russian aggression and if Putin decides he can conquer Europe, where would that leave America? China and Russia are politically aligned as is North Korea. They would become a force of global domination and America may well find itself in the situation Europe finds itself in now. So would Trump threaten he is prepared to push the red button. Unlikely, he is a cowardly little man as was Putin when he made that very threat.

Now that Trump has laid out his support for Russia, China may well interpret his lunacy as a green light with regard to Taiwan. If he supports Russia, and is now blaming Ukraine for the war, and ignoring the utterly undeniable right of Ukraine and European leaders to attend any talks regarding ending the war, which was started by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, is he likely to do anything different with the China Taiwan situation.

Trump is divisional, he is the last thing the western world needed at this time. In looking to strengthen America he is weakening the western world, he is weakening NATO and in the long term, for the reasons as set out above, he may very well be weakening what he intended to strengthen, The United States of America.

Of course the above is a worse case scenario but with Trump, anything is possible. As I said in a previous post, Trump is as dangerous to both the USA and the western world generally as Putin is. He just does not engage his brain before he opens his mouth and his team are, like the sheep in the Kremlin, likely too afraid to speak out.

Apologies for the length of this post and I understand fully if it sounds more like the plot of a Hollywood blockbuster and you may wish to disagree with some or all of the above.

Its clear now that Trump and his team are going to betray Ukraine.

I predict Russia will keep the territory they currently hold. And we have to make do with an uninterested global superpower being our ally against a war machine like Putin who will try and take more and more land. Surely this will just embolden him and any other dictators like him.

Its quite depressing hearing Trump talking the way he does about Ukraine. This is a guy who tried to get all of Ukraine's natural resources quite recently. He is an absolute idiot and so are the people cheerleading for him.

The vast majority on this board are of one voice regarding the moron, Trump. Perhaps the one answer to rid the world of this danger to peace, is a bullet. The way he is carrying on, it could well come to fruition sooner rather than later. I am certainly not an advocate of violence but in his case it would probably be justifiable.

It is a harsh statement Leicester but one which I find myself agreeing with. However, unlike the last person to attempt it let us hope this time (if there is to be one) that that person would do a proper job.

Oh and while we are about it, lets hope someone takes a pot at Putin and Kim Jung Un to name but another two. All three are incredibly dangerous, all lack any human element and all are attention seeking despots.

It would be rather nice if Trump managed to assemble a meeting in Tehran between himself and the mad mullahs, Putin and the little fat pig from North Korea (chuck in the Chinese fella for good measure) and then the Israelis could do what they’re very good at!

What a state the World is in, though; this appeasement of Putin is just unbelievable, talk about history repeating itself. I feel like volunteering to go and start a colony on Mars! Well, I assume that you get my drift!

It feels like he?s switched allegiances. I wouldn?t be surprised if he had Russian cyber support to get in power and this was the cost.

What an awful state of affairs for Ukraine and Europe.

He?s a villain who looks after himself.
